Judicial report: Weather: Fine ADDIS SUNSET who was a late scratching and stood down for 10 days at Manawatu on 06.07.09 was re examined today under the provisions of Rule 64.13 and the stand down was rescinded and ADDIS SUNSET is now cleared to race.
L.McCook the Trainer of MAGNIFICENT was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when the dog was presented to race 2.3 kilograms down on its last race weight.
H.McCracken was fined $ 35-00 under Rule 71.4 when he failed to catch a dog as arranged in race 8.
DIAMOND ZAC completed a satisfactory trial and passed a thorough Veterinary examination following the trial and is now cleared to race.

Race 1 ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305 PARNELL MIST and PETITE ROSE were handy to the first corner but they collided and dropped back causing checks to SUPERIOR SOPHIE, PRINCESS CHOLET and IRISH ENFORCER who all lost ground.
Race 2 MEDIA WORKS - C0 - 520 WATCH THIS PAGE ran in from the start and collided with MYSTERY KIM and both lost ground. JACK BANNER moved in on the first corner and bumped with RUSTY ENFORCER and then moved out and collided with MYSTERY KIM and fell. WATCH THIS PAGE, who was having its first start was severely checked in the incident and almost fell and appeared to be disorientated and suffering from an injury and pulled up soon after. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. JACK BANNER was also examined and stood down for 5 days with possible bruising. RUN BROADY RUN Gained a start in race 4. BIGTIME STARLET B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from pain in a shoulder blade and bicep and stood down for 7 days to and including 09.07.09. Papers to be endorsed. FLYBY SYDNEY Mathews & Lozell Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 16.07.09. JACK BANNER W.T.Hodgson Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered from suspected bruising and stood down for 5 days to and including 12.07.09.
Race 3 MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305 KARN began awkwardly and was then checked soon after when DUSTY MISTRESS ran in sharply and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. SYDENHAM BYE BYE checked over the heels of STEAL IT DAN on the first corner and she drifted back from there to finish several lengths last. SYDENHAM BYE BYE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a tricep muscle injury. ANOTHER GROOVY Ex Addington on 07.07.09. SYDENHAM BYE BYE S.P.Clark Rule 82 Suffered a tricep muscle injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 04.08.09.
Race 4 GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C0f - 520 The favourite POUTAMA RAMA was slow to begin but then made ground quickly until he collided with SPEEDILICIOUS on the first corner and they dropped back to the rear and stayed there to finish in the last two places. TEN BY FIFTY P.Taylor Rule 64 Suffering from a webbing injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 19.07.09.
Race 5 GEON WELLINGTON - C1 - 305 One of the favourites ZAZU BOY began awkwardly and settled at the rear. He stayed well back and was observed to falter on the home turn and dropped out to finish several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 42 days with a torn calf muscle. TALKABOUT SUZI and THRILLING ASH bumped together on the first corner and lost ground and they stayed back to finish near the rear. ZAZU BOY J.T.McInerney Rule 82 Suffered a torn calf muscle and stood down for 42 days to and including 18.08.09
Race 6 KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C1q - 520 Heat 1 IN THE BIN moved in on the first corner and forced DAPTO TOKEN onto the rail and they were both checked and as a result PURE FURY, CAWBOURNE SNEAKY and EVA TITU also received interferance and lost several lengths. CAWBOURNE SNEAKY recovered to finish in 3rd place but the others stayed back to finish in the rear group. DAPTO TOKEN was examined by the Vet and was found to have a minor spike wound but no stand down was required.
Race 7 GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C1 - 305 MAGNIFICENT weighed 2.3 kilograms down on its last start weight which was 17 days previous. The Handler M.McCook stated that he was surprised at the weight loss which he felt may have been contributed to by the recent very cold weather but he felt the dog was fit to run and the Vets inspection confirmed the dogs fitness to compete. MAGNIFICENT began awkwardly and settled at the rear and he stayed in that position to the finish.
Race 8 WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1q - 520 Heat 1 General tightening on the first corner resulted in checks to FREDDIE SAGE, KIWISAVER, KAYTEE DIVA and HOBSON'S LAW with KAYTEE DIVA being the most affected and she almost fell and finished in last place.
Race 9 BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305 BOTANY SHELLEY was handy to the first corner but was then jostled for some distance on the bend and lost ground and finished in 5th place. RISING GAS was bumped and pushed out approaching the straight entrance and he made contact with BIGTIME ALEX who was pushed wide and finished in last place.
Race 10 WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305 All clear. BIGTIME BAND Ex Wanganui on 03.07.09.
