Race 1	WARREN DEAN STAPLETON RACING SPRINT - C2 - 295	SUNSET BOMBER, OSWALD BOATENG and NEED A NURSE were tightened into the bend losing all chance. Soon after HOMEBUSH LENNY was tightened by KNOW CENTS also losing ground. HOMEBUSH MARLON (JT McInerney) scratched at Otago on 2 July 2009. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 10 July 2009.
Race 2	HANNAH N HENRY CHILDHOOD CENTRE DASH - C1 - 295	Around the bend BURN DOWN ROAD moved sharply down towards the rail hitting it and bouncing out onto SOULJA STORM before checking out off that dog and being climbed on by LIAM TITLE who had been slow to jump from the inside box. FURMINATOR was run wide on the track by BURN DOWN ROAD in this incident. At the lure SPIN CYCLE was knocked down. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. BURN DOWN ROAD was found with left shoulder triceps soreness with a10 day stand down recommended. BURN DOWN ROAD (Hart/Taylor) left should/triceps soreness. Rule 82.1 10 days up to and including 14 July 2009.
Race 3	NICK'S PETFOOD STAKES - C0 - 520	WARRIOR WIKI ran out after the jump checking TIME CATCHER. MILLY SPICE was tightened into the first bend. Into the back straight THAT'S SARAH was tightened by WINNER SCHNITZEL losing momentum.
Race 4	CHRISTCHURCH DEMOLITION & SALVAGE LTD STAKES - C1 - 520	SELF INFLICTED was slow to jump. Into the first bend ELIE SAAB moved outwards coming in contact with PRINCE SERGIO both losing ground. COVER PAGE drifted to the rear and never improved. She was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. COVER PAGE (RD Blackburn) muscle soreness right scapula. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 July 2009. TIGER BALM (C Mitchell) was a late scratching at race preparation after having become severly stressed in his kennel and having an elevated temperature of 39.8. Rule 68.26. Veterinary certificate supplied. 7 days up to and including 11 July 2009.
Race 5	HARDY'S HEALTHY LIVING DASH - C3 - 295	Soon after the jump CADBURY HAND moved down and checked ANOTHER KERRY. Into the bend KNOW SPORTY and MIRKOLA BALE came together losing ground. CAWBOURNE WOODY (DL Roberts) scratched under Rule 64.5 due to a change of ownership and trainer since the time of nomination. Valid reason. No penalty. MULBERRY NIPPER (KJ Cassidy) stood down at Christchurch on 30 June 2009. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 6 July 2009.
Race 6	METHVEN PANEL & PAINT SPRINT - C4 - 295	KNOW NEED was slow to jump but improved quickly along the rail. REWIND HISTORY was tightened between NITRO PEGGY and MILLY'S MATE soon after the start. Into the bend MILLY'S MATE moved outwards and came in contact with TASHA'S GIRL who lost ground. NITRO MOWIE (Hart/Taylor) was a late scratching at kennelling with an infected right fore web wound. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 11 July 2009.
Race 7	BELFAST TAVERN STAKES - C3 - 520	SHAKIN' MARTINI was tightened by INGA THE WINGA into the first bend with SHAKIN' MARTINI checking out onto GENISTA BRAVE who came back on FLYING ASPEN and BOTANY JIM.
Race 8	SOUTH RAKAIA HOTEL STAKES - C4 - 520	KNOW BEST scrambled from the boxes losing at least 5 lengths. BRITNEY LANE crossed LOU BALE and WATMOUGH into the first bend both sustaining checks. HYPER EXPRESS (R Adcock) torn left triceps. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days up to and including 24 July 2009. HEAR THE CHEERS (AD Williams) grazed right fore and left hind stopper pads. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 11 July 2009.
Race 9	CONNIE SMALLRIDGE MEMORIAL ASHBURTON CUP - C5 - 520	KNOW QUESTION ran outwards after the jump colliding with SMASH MCCOY. Into the first bend ST.WILD checked out off WINSOME BUCKS with SMASH MCCOY and PATTY'S GIRL coming together losing all chance. ZITA GRACE (MM Grant) was a late scratching at kennelling with left hind metatarsal soreness. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 11 July 2009.
Race 10	J.H. CLEARY HOWS IT GOING MEMORIAL SPRINT - C5 - 295	Around the bend LES BAXTER and LINCOLN BRAND came together with LINCOLN BRAND losing all chance. SINGAPORE WILLY (GACleeve) torn injury to 3rd toe of right fore. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 8 July 2009.
