Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer N.Clark was reminded of his obligations to ensure that he kennels his dogs at the advertised times unless given dispensation.
M.McCook was spoken to advisedly after it was observed that he had caught a dog when not wearing the Club supplied jacket.

Race 1 DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C0 - 375 POWER OF ZEN was a little slow to begin and lost two lengths. STEAL IT DAN moved in on the first corner and checked SHOWTIME ADDIS and CAWBOURNE SNIFFA who both lost ground and any chance of a placing. PRIVATE SHOWING and POWER OF ZEN were also affected in the incident and finished well back. SHOWTIME ADDIS was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a tricep muscle injury. CAWBOURNE SNIFFA was also examined and stood down for 10 days with a pectineus muscle injury. THRILLING RAY M.Cuneo Rule 68 A late scratching when found to be suffering from a tricep muscle injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 28.06.09. SHOWTIME ADDIS S.Payne Rule 82 Checked and suffered a tricep muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 01.07.09. CAWBOURNE SNIFFA G.Tapiki Rule 82 Checked and suffered from pectineus muscle injuries and stood down for 10 days to and including 01.07.09.
Race 2 COMPANY BRANDING SHOP, LEVIN - C0 - 457 HOBSON'S LAW jumped in from the start and checked SPEEDILICIOUS and ZAZU BOY who both lost ground. GLAZE ran in on the first corner and caused severe checks to itself and GISELLE QUEEN, UPAHUT CRYSTAL and SPEEDILICIOUS who all lost several lengths and they finished in the last four places.
Race 3 SPORTS LODGE MOTEL, WANGANUI - C1 - 375 The box lids failed to open and as a result the field was unloaded and the lids were opened manually in the restart which was 4 minutes later than the advertised time. The failure to open was caused by a minor latch problem on one side of the box lids and this was quickly rectified. TUI THUNDER was very slow to jump from the boxes and tailed the field throughout. CATCH THE BREEZE, BIGTIME MILLY and BIGTIME SLAMMER were all handy to the first corner but were checked losing several lengths and they finished well back. The wire rope was found to have frayed at a join after the race and the meeting was put back two races while the rope was changed and the lure sent around for testing purposes.
Race 4 GEON WELLINGTON - C1 - 457 DARK SAGE and CAWBOURNE SPEED bumped soon after the start and DARK SAGE then moved back in and checked RAGING CONQUEST who lost a little ground but recovered to finish well for 2nd place. DARK SAGE checked over the heels of CAWBOURNE SNEAKY on the first corner and moved out making firm contact with THRILLING TYSON who was pushed very wide and he finished in last place. DOOLEY'S CHICK G & S Hayden Holmes Rule 64 Suffering from bicep muscle injuries and stood down for 10 days to and including 27.06.09. CAWBOURNE SNEAKY J.T.McInerney Rule 82 Reported to be showing signs of illness after racing and was examined by the Vet and found to be suffering from enteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 01.07.09.
Race 5 WENHAM GRAIN & SEED - C5 - 375 One of the favourites BLACK TIE began only fairly and jostled with other runners in the run to the first corner and startiing on the bend where he was forced to race wide. He did manage to get to the rail over the fianal stages but had lost too much ground earlier and finished in 7th place.
Race 6 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C5 - 457 FANCY MEL and PINK RELTUB collided on the first corner losing ground and they finished in 6th and 7th places. BUT WHY NOT Ex Auckland on 18.06.09
Race 7 AP1 METROLOGY NZ-BRED SPRINT - R/A - 375 SUZY MAC was slow to begin and then became awkwardly placed behind and inside other runners in the run to the first corner and lost ground. She never recovered and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 8 PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C4 - 375 UPAHUT SLAYER was tightly placed between runners racing to the first corner and was eventually checked back to last and she never recovered and finished in 2nd last place. GUNNADOO KNIGHT Freeman & Turnwald Rule 68 A late scratching when found to be suffering from a tricep muscle injury which was sustained when being loaded into the trailer and stood down for 21 days to and including 12.07.09.
Race 9 RADIO TRACKSIDE 828AM MANAWATU - C3 - 375 All clear. GONE WILD O.Marron Rule 64 Suffering from a laceration to a front paw and stood down for 7 days to and including 26.06.09.
Race 10 MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C2 - 375 ROUGH ENFORCER, BIGTIME ELITE and MAGNIFICENT were tightly placed in the run to the first corner and were checked back to the rear and they never recovered.
