| Race 1 | ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C2 - 305 | SHARIMORE who drew box one was tightened and lost ground in the run to the first turn and she never recovered and finished in 2nd last place. HOMEBUSH PHOEBE was checked on the first corner losing several lengths and all chance. The favourite BIGTIME ELITE was tightly placed on the first corner and lost momentum when checking over the heels of HOMEBUSH PERCY. BIGTIME ELITE then finished well for 4th placing when in the clear. One of the better supported runners LEFT JAB was forced to race wide throughout from box 8 and finished in 6th place. |
| Race 2 | MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C4 - 305 | JUST LIKE BEE was mid field on the first corner but was then checked back to last and then made up some ground to finish in 6th place. CENTRAL RAIDER checked off the heels of GUNNADOO KNIGHT on the bend when racing at the rear and he lost ground and stayed back to finish last. | Race 3 | WANGANUI SECURTIY SERVICES - C3 - 520 | WINSOME DOLL began awkwardly losing three lengths and she stayed at the rear throughout to finish in last place. LAGOON LAD Ex Manawatu on 15.06.09 |
| Race 4 | BILDERBECK CONSTRUCTION LTD - C3 - 305 | FANTASY BAXTER and CLASSIC BEN jostled together for several strides in the run to the first corner and CLASSIC BEN was eventually pushed out across the heels of BIGTIME SCAR and checked losing several lengths and finished last. BIGTIME SCAR was checked on the bend and fell heavily and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with pain in a tricep muscle The favourite and winner CAWBOURNE BESS was last in its two previous runs in the same class. When questioned regarding the improved form, co Trainer P.Freeman stated that the dog was tired after those runs, had been rested and freshened for five weeks and obviously relished starting from box 1 from where she had never been unplaced. BIGTIME SCAR B.Hunt Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered a tricep muscle injury and stood down for 5 days to and including 23.06.09. |
| Race 5 | WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C4 - 305 | RANUI galloped on the heels of AS FAST AS on the first corner and WHATA BOWLA and DA COOLA were pushed wide in the incident and all four lost several lengths and finished at the rear. The 2nd dog WONGAWILLINEV checked off the back of the eventual winner BIGTIME EXPRESS on the home turn and this may have cost it a winning chance. |
| Race 6 | KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C2 - 520 | ROUGH ENFORCER jostled with KIWISAVER in the run to the first corner and went a little wide into the bend when receiving pressure on his hind quarters from THRILLING SKITZ. He continued to race wide on the track over extra ground and finished in last place. GUILTY VERDICT D.Symes Rule 64.5 Scratched on compassionate grounds due to a family illness and no penalty imposed. |
| Race 7 | WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C4 - 520 | GUNNADOO DREAMS ran in from the start and all other runners except UPAHUT SLAYER were checked to varying degrees. SMART JOSEPHINE hit the hind quarters of WINSOME DIGNITY on the first corner causing a severe check to that runner who lost several lengths. UPAHUT SLAYER was handy until checked entering the back straight and she lost three lengths but ran on well at the finish for 3rd place. BILLY RUBIN was severely checked starting on the last bend and almost fell and he finished several lengths last. |
| Race 8 | BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C5 - 520 | BROCKMAN LAD was slow to get into stride and was two lengths last with a circuit to run. He did make up some ground but only ran on fairly to finish in 6th place. |
| Race 9 | CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD - C5 - 305 | HIFI ALLEGRO ran in from the start and forced ALL ABOUT DOSH into the line of BOB BAXTER who then checked off heels and lost a little ground. CHARTERIS BAY J.T.McInerney Rule 68 A late scratching due to suffering from vomitting and an elevated temperature and stood down for 10 days to and including 28.06.09. |
| Race 10 | MEDIA WORKS - C5 - 305 | SAINT DANIEL, ELITE BAXTER, WINSOME NOVA, FANCY SPIDER, CAWBOURNE DORE and BIGTIME THUNDER were all checked losing several lengths due to severe interferance on the first corner. SAINT DANIEL fell as a result and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a broken toe. BIGTIME WORLD L.Ahern Rule 64 Suffering from an infected spike wound and stood down for 7 days to and including 24.06.09. SAINT DANIEL J.T.McInerney Rule 82 Checked and fell suffering a broken toe and stood down for 21 days to and including 09.07.09. |
