Race 1 | THE BROWNZY SPORTS BAR SPRINT - C1 - 318 | PRINCESS SNOWY was tightened into the bend losing ground and finishing at the rear. Into the bend INDIA BEND was dragged down from behind by THRILLING VIRUS with both dogs losing ground. A post race veterinary check of INDIA BLUE revealed a right adductor muscle injury with a fourteen day stand down recommended. INDIA BLUE (DD Schofield) right adductor muscle injury. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 1 July 2009. |
Race 2 | LECTRO HAIR & BEAUTY STAKES - C1 - 527 | SHY NEENA and DAPPER came together on the home turn when well back. |
Race 3 | MCGHIE PLUMBING SPRINT - C2 - 318 | CENTRAL CYRUS was slow to leave the traps while AGENT WHALE was slightly checked by ANYTHING FITZ soon after the jump. HOMEBUSH BUBBLES received a check as COLERIDGE ANDIE crossed her from wide out with AGENT WHALE, ANYTHING FITZ and CENTRAL CYRUS all being inconvenienced as a result. A post race veterinary check of HOMEBUSH BUBBLES revealed a broken hock with the dog being euthanased on humane grounds. HOMEBUSH BUBBLES (JR Udy) broken hock with dog being euthanased. |
Race 4 | PROTECTOR SAFETY STAKES - C3 - 527 | BULLISH MEGASTAR ran outwards into the first bend checking ARCTIC ROMEO and PAYNEFUL TRUTH with ARTERIAL BALE being inconvenienced in this incident. BULLISH MEGASTAR also checked off PAYNEFUL TRUTH into the back straight and lost a length. He did well to get up for second. DOLLY BREEN (SP Clark) right quadriceps muscle injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 26 June 2009. |
Race 5 | THORNTON AUCTIONS SPRINT - C3 - 318 | DEVIL'S COUNTY was slow to jump. DAVINCI ran wide on the home turn when well back taking TERROR JIM and DEVIL'S COUNTY wider with all dogs losing ground. |
Race 6 | THE ALAMO BAR & TAB STAKES - C4 - 318 | THRILLING WOLF was a stride slow from the inside. Favourite SEASWIFT was sandwiched in between THRILLING GAME and FAST STASS into the bend and dropped to the rear. On the home turn SEASWIFT checked off the back of BEACH STREET and lost another length. SOLID HAND ran outwards into the bend when looking for room causing a check to BEACH STREET. Following the race FAST STASS was found to have suffered a spike wound with a seven day stand down recommended. FAST STASS (DD Schofield) spike wound. Race 7 | GREYHOUNDS NORTH SERIES - C0dq - 603 Heat 1 | LAZENBY was last to jump and checked off the back of FAILED TO STOP on the home turn when well back. FANCY GIRL was checked when looking for an inside run at the end of the back straight and lost momentum finishing in fifth place. Following the event YAMBLA JACK was taken off the box first list. |
Race 8 | CAROL'S TABS STAKES - C4/5 - 527 | Into the back straight VIREYA was checked and lost ground as LIGHT WESTERLY crossed to the rail. LIGHT WESTERLY was dragged down at this stage and APPOINTED THYME received a check and ran outwards on to BUZZ CAFÉ, RASMAH and BUT WHY NOT who all fell heavily. YOUNG DADDY was also checked in the incident. RASMAH completed the race some time later but the other two fallers did not finish. The post race veterinary checks revealed injuries detailed in the stand down section below. YOUNG DADDY (DD Schofield) right fore laceration with a possible fracture. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 8 July 2009 BUT WHY NOT (DD Schofield) left hind laceration with sutures together with multiple grazes and bruising after fall. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 27 June 2009. RASMAH (BDF Craik) left caudal antibrachium - 4cm skin laceration requiring staples. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 27 June 2009. BUZZ CAFE (SP Clark) mild concussion and grazing after fall. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 24 June 2009. |
Race 9 | RODEWALD HART BROWN SPRINT - C5 - 318 | NATIONAL BEND ran inwards on the bend checking LAURETANA BOY who lost ground. This in turn hampered CYCLONE PRESTO and MISS AMY DRY with ASHBOURNE FALCON being forced very wide and losing his chance. |
Race 10 | RACING HERE AGAIN ON SUNDAY SPRINT - C1 - 318 | CYCLADES was slow to jump from the inside box. KAMACO was keen to run outwards in the early stages causing tightening to DREAM SEEKER who lost ground. PYFO WILLIE appeared to hit the lure and was found to have a haematoma on right fore carpus with a ten day stand down recommended. PYFO WILLEE (G Calverley) right fore haematoma on carpus. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 27 June 2009. |
