| Race 1 | ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305 | CAWBOURNE YAP was having his first start for the J.T.McInerney Kennel and weighed 4.2 kilograms under its last start weight which was 4 1/2 months ago. When questioned, S.McInerney stated that he was happy with the weight and the Vet confirmed the dogs fitness ro run. CAWBOURNE YAP began awkwardly and lost several lengths but did make up some ground to finish in 6th place. UPAHUT ZORRO moved out in the run to the first corner and this resulted in slight checks to STEAL IT DAN, THRILLING BRUNO and CYCLONE CLYDE. CYCLONE CLYDE galloped on the back of SPARKY WIZARD on the bend and soon after SPARKY WIZARD made contact with the rail and went back to last and stayed in that position. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a bruised shoulder. JETSON BLUE B.Hunt Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 28 days to and including 12.07.09. SPARKY WIZARD R.Hunt Rule 82 Checked and struck the rail suffering a bruised shoulder and stood down for 7 days to and including 23.06.09. |
| Race 2 | MEDIA WORKS - C0 - 520 | KAIAPOI FIRST and HOMEBUSH CLARIE began awkwardly and lost four lengths and they stayed back to finish 6th and 7th. |
| Race 3 | MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305 | THRILLING BENNY ran in from the start and caused checks to RUN BROADY RUN, HOMEBUSH TRAVIS, SHOWTIME ADDIS and MYREEN who all lost ground. SHOWTIME ADDIS then galloped on the heels of THRILLING BENNY who was checked and ran out on the first turn and caused checks to RUN BROADY RUN, PRIVATE SHOWING and MYREEN who all lost ground and they finished in the last three places. |
| Race 4 | GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C1 - 520 | General tightening on the first turn resulted in severe checks to PISTOL SUNRISE, CAPP MANNERING and EVA TITU who were all lucky not to fall and they lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. |

| Race 7 | GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C1 - 305 | The favourite BIGTIME SLAMMER was slow to begin but then secured a clear rails run to finish well for 3rd place. BIGTIME ALEX, MIGHTY BIG SAM and BITTA ZIP bumped together on the first corner and they all lost ground and finished in the last three places. ONLY WAY OUT recovered to finish well for 4th place but GEMMA SAGE stayed back to finish in last place. |
