Race 1	NZ BREEDERS' HEAT 1 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	The favourite PATTY'S GIRL had every chance apart from running a little wide on the first bend but could only finish in 5th place.
Race 2	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C3 - 305	BIGTIME ROYAL was checked in the back straight and she dropped out to finish several lengths last. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. CRYSTAL SAL ran on the heels of WHATA BOWLA on the first corner and they both lost ground and the chance of a placing and they finished in 6th and 7th places.
Race 3	NZ BREEDERS' HEAT 2 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	KNOW SPIRIT and SHINE FOR US came together and jostled for a few strides on the first corner and both dogs lost ground.
Race 4	NZ BREEDERS'HEAT 3 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	PICCADILLY LINE was bumped from the inside on the first corner and ran wide on the bend but then recovered to finish in 2nd place. SOLITAIRE STAR was last away and then could not keep up and finished several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and found to be suffering from a mild case of thumps but no stand down was required. One of the favourites KNOW QUESTION received slight checks soon after the start and again on the first bend. He then raced a little wide on the track and only battled into 5th place.
Race 5	NZ BREEDERS' HEAT 4 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	RASMAH checked over the heels of another runner with a circuit to run but recovered to win with ease. DOUBLEO TOM was checked slightly on the first corner and lost a little ground. The only Class 0 runner JASON BOURNE was outclassed and finished several lengths last. The electronic timing failed due to a computor problem.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C5 - 305	KARL BAXTER was away well and handy to the first corner but was then checked and went back causing checks to ANOTHER BAXTER and WINSOME NOVA and they never recovered and finished in the rear group. ANOTHER BAXTER was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with pain over a stopper bone in a foreleg. ANOTHER BAXTER J.T.McInerney Rule 82 Checked and suffered an injury over the stopper bone and stood down for 28 days to and including 09.07.09.
Race 7	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C2d - 645	LAGOON GROVE collided with the hind quarters of WILL SHE ECHO on the first corner when racing near the rear and she lost five lengths and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 8	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C4/5 - 520	GOSS SAGE was checked between runners soon after the start and settled at the rear. He then checked over the heels of DARK FANCY on the first corner and moved out forcing KID DELANEY wide on the bend. Entering the back straight, GOSS SAGE made contact with the rail and came out causing a check to KID DELANEY and they lost several lengths and finished in the last two places. GOSS SAGE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 9	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD - C5 - 305	ALLEGRO VISION led to the first corner but was then tightened between runners and dropped back through the field and finished in last place. WINSOME LIGHT also lost ground in the incident and finished in 5th place.
Race 10	MEDIA WORKS - C4 - 305	GO GROOVY was slow to begin but the went forward to be in a handy position on the bend. He then checked off the heels of BACK DRAUGHT and dropped back to finish in 6th place. BACK DRAUGHT rolled out on the first corner and caused checks to STAR CONQUEST and ADDIS SUNSET who both lost ground and all chance of a placing. SCISSOR SISTERS C & W Morris Rule 64.10 In season and stood down for 28 days to and including 08.07.09.
