Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305	TYPHOON PETE began very awkwardly and lost several lengths. HOMEBUSH TRAVIS, UPAHUT WITCH and RUN BRANDY RUN were checked and lost ground on the first corner and TYPHOON PETE galloped on the back of RUN BRANDY RUN at that point and they never recovered and finished in the rear group. BIGTIME SLAMMER Gained a start in Race 7.
Race 2	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1q - 520 Heat 1	HOMEBUSH ELTON and FOUR WHITE SOX jostled together for some distance in the run to the first corner and they both eventually lost ground and settled towards the rear. RHYANA REASON Ex Manawatu on 08.06.09.
Race 3	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 520	BIGTIME COWELL moved out in the run to the first corner and checked MISTER WHISKER who lost ground. COERSION G.Calverley Rule 64 Suffering from torn muscles in a hind leg and stood down for 14 days to and including 22.06.09
Race 4	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C0 - 305	HAWTHORN HAWK eased back out of a gap on the first corner and tailed the field from there to the finish. He was examined by the Vet, cleared of injury and was stood down for 28 days for failing to pursue the lure. HAWTHORN HAWK is also required to complete a satisfactory trial. HOMEBUSH CLARIE and HEY GHANDI collided on the first corner and HOMEBUSH CLARIE got her muzzle caught in the rug of HEY GHANDI and they both lost ground. They collided again entering the home straight and lost further ground and finished 6th and 7th. BIGTIME MISS Gained a start in Race 7. HAWTHORN HAWK P.Blanche Rule 80.1 b Failed to pursue the lure and stood down for 28 days to and including 07.07.09 and required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1.
Race 5	GEON WELLINGTON - C0 - 520	TINY PRANCER was checked soon after the start and again with just over a circuit to run where she fell. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C1q - 520 Heat 1	This event was started 2 minutes late at the request of T.A.B.Control. The race was all clear.
Race 7	GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C0f - 305	SPECTRA CONQUEST, BOTANY SHELLEY and BIGTIME MISS were all checked on the first corner and lost ground and any chance of a placing. THRILLING KADEE M.Cuneo Rule 64 Suffering from a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 22.06.09. Papers to be endorsed. BACK AT YA S.Drysdale Rule 64 Suffering from enteritis and stood down for 5 days to and including 13.06.09 LAURIE'S BEST G.Calverley Rule 64 Suffering from bruising and an open wound to a hind leg and stood down for 14 days to and including 22.06.09
Race 8	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1q - 520 Heat 1	SEDGEBROOK WILL ran wide over extra ground throughout the race and finished in last place.
Race 9	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305	THRILLING TURK and THRILLING TOD collided soon after the start and THRILLING TOD dropped back to last and he stayed there to the finish.
Race 10	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305	The favourite SPURWAY began a little awkwardly and was checked soon after when THRILLING CHANT moved in and he went back to last and stayed back to finish in 3rd last place. THRILLING CHANT moved out approaching the home turn and forced SPURWAY and THRILLING JIM wide over extra ground and they finished in the last three places.
