Judicial report: Weather: Cloudy Trainer S.Gommans was questioned regarding the increase in weight for her dogs THRILLING NERO ( up 2.7 kilos ) and THRILLING JOKER ( up 2.9 kilos ) and she stated that both dogs had not raced for 3 months and the increase was intentional. It was noted that both dogs had only performed fairly in previous starts at lower weights and the explanation was accepted.

Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305	THRILLING NERO was slow to begin but was quickly into stride until checking off the heels of PRINCESS LYLA on the first corner and he lost a little ground at that point and finished in 6th place.
Race 2	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C0 - 520	MISTER WHISKER ran in from the start and this resulted in checks to GISELLE QUEEN and PURE FURY who both lost ground and settled at the rear. VIOLET JAZZ checked off the heels of MISTER WHISKER on the first bend and moved out making contact with IRISH ENFORCER and both lost ground. KAIAPOI FIRST Ex Manawatu on 18.05.09.
Race 3	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305	RISING GAS was slow to begin but recovered quickly to make up the lost ground. However, in the run to the first corner he and WHATA ROSE were tightened and checked back to the rear when THRILLING JOKER moved in towards the rail.
Race 4	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C0 - 520	HOMEBUSH THOMAS turned in the boxes and then turned again before the lids opened but began awkwardly and bumped with BIGTIME COWELL. He settled at the rear but could not keep up and finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 5	THE RADIO WORKS - C1 - 305	The favourite THRILLING PENNY was very slow to begin losing several lengths but did make up ground to finish in 6th place. PEACE ICON was handy to the first corner but then checked off the heels of THRILLING CHANT and lost three lengths. FANTASY BAXTER was tightened adjacent to the rail on the first corner losing ground and she never recovered and finished in 2nd last place. SPURWAY Ex Manawatu on 18.05.09.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE SNEAKY ran in from the start and checked FLOATING AWAY, ELIE SAAB and ROTOVEGAS GIRL who all lost ground. FLOATING AWAY and ELLIE SAAB bumped together entering the back straight and lost further ground but ELLIE SAAB recovered well to finish on for 3rd place while FLOATING AWAY stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 7	GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI FEATURE - C2 - 520	BLAKE'S ANGEL checked off the heels of GOSS SAGE entering the back straight and lost ground but recovered to finish on into 3rd place. KIWISAVER was jostled from both sides soon after the start and settled in last place. He was then checked again entering the back straight and never recovered and finished last.
Race 8	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1 - 520	THRILLING MOSS was very slow to begin losing several lengths but he made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. CAWBOURNE POINTA was bumped and pushed wide over extra ground on the first bend. EVA TITU was handy enough entering the back straight but was checked back to last and she stayed well back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 9	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305	The favourite BIGTIME ELITE was last away after beginning a little awkwardly and she then raced wide over extra ground and finished in 4th place.
Race 10	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305	THRILLING DOLL began awkwardly and bumped with THRILLING DUTCH and they settled at the rear. THRILLING DOLL then made up ground for 3rd place but THRILLING DUTCH stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
