Judicial report: Weather: showery Several trainers were spoken to regarding there obligation to make sure that they get permission to put strapping on dogs preferably at kennelling in the future----------.

Race 1 DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C0 - 457 At the start BIGTIME COWELL came across the face of the inside dogs causing checks to KAIAPOI FIRST ,HE'S A STUNNER and CHOKE TYPHOON PETE came across on to SNOWIE SECRET at the jump and caused him to be checked back a couple of strides As the field raced in to the first turn TYPHOON PETE tried to cross inwards again and caused tightning and checks to SNOWIE SECRET ,HE'S A STUNNER ,BIGTIME COWELL and KAIAPOI FIRST , BIGTIME COWELL was able to recover and ran on for 2nd placing at the line KAIAPOI FIRST was sent for a vet check and was found to have suffered a punture wound on right hind which required suturing and a 8 days stand down was given THRILLING WAG ex Waikato 14.05.09 KAIAPOI FIRST I Cox punture wound of digit 3 right hind Rule 82.1.8 days stand down to and including 25.05.09
Race 2 SPORTS LODGE MOTEL, WANGANUI - C1q - 375 Heat 1 CAPTAIN BOYCOTT (fav) went up with the lids and lost a couple of lengths TUI THUNDER was slow away losing several lengths Racing in to the first turn NEW BEGINNING came across on to CAPTAIN BOYCOTT as CATCH THE BREEZE came across on to TITAN PRINCE ,resulting in these dogs all being checked back on the inside CAPTAIN BOYCOTT recovered very well from this earlier trouble and ran on well for 2nd placing at the line----------.
Race 3 SPORTS LODGE MOTEL, WANGANUI - C1q - 375 Heat 1 Soon after the start HOMEBUSH JAZZ came across on to LISA SHIRAZ and GENISTA SUMMER causing them to be checked back for a few strides . SPURWAY B Cole kennel cough dog presented vet cert supplied Rule 64.12.14 days stand down to and including 30.05.09 MIGHTY BIG SAM Freeman& Turnwald sprained hock Rule 64.5 28 days stand down to and including 14.06.09
Race 4 GEON WELLINGOTN - C1 - 457 Racing in to the first turn CAWBOURNE SPEED came out across on to LETISHA and RAGING CONQUEST causing them to be checked and LESHITA never recovered and finished in last position at the post On the top bend NOSH IN SOCKS got on the heels of LIFE BECKONS breifly NOSH IN SOCKS was sent for a vet check and was found to have suffered a pe ctural muscle injury and has been given a 14 days stand down-- THRILLING FEVER was a late scratching at kennelling on veterinary advice due to injury to right front leg--------. THRILLING FEVER D Parata injury to right front leg Late Scratching Rule 68.26.7 days stand down to and including 24.05.09 NOSH IN SOCKS I Cox injury to left pectural muscle Rule 82.1.14 days stand down to and including 31.05.09----------.
Race 5 GRANT IRVINE PHARMACY SPRINT - C5 - 375 WINSOME CHANCE was slow away and then raced wide around top bend and in to the home straight which cost her a closer placing at the finish Racing in to the first turn ELITE BAXTER came across on to KARL BAXTER causing him to be checked back and lose several lengths which he could'nt make up and he beat two dogs home----------. Race 6 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY - C4/5 - 457 Soon after the start FANCY BEAR came out wide on the track and got on the heels of AUSSIE OPAWA and then SIMPLY BLESSED Racing in to the first turn FANCY MEL had to check back off the heels of SUZY MAC for a stride and this caused WINSOME FLYER and FANCY BEAR to be checked back and they lost all chance from there on in in ,especially FANCY BEAR who tendered to race wide there after and finished in last position at the line
Race 7 SPORTS LODGE MOTEL, WANGANUI - C1q - 375 Heat 1 FLY WITH ACTION was slow away , as was GENISTA SPIRIT (fav) who tried to make ground up going in to the first turn but struck trouble as YES MISS came out on to THRILLING POLARand this caused GENISTA SPIRIT to have to race wide as they raced around the top bend GENISTA SPIRIT had trouble gaining a clear run from there and finished in 5th placing at the line ----------.
Race 8 SPORTS LODGE MOTEL, WANGANUI - C1q - 375 Heat 1 GENISTA ROCKET was slow away and on racing in to the first turn tried to get down to the rail ,but ran in to BIGTIME TITLE and this dog was turned sideways for a couple of strides and as a result GENISTA ROCKET went back through the field ,but was able to run on for a gutsy 2nd placing at the line HOT SPICEY BOY D Parata injury to left quadriceps muscle dog presented vet cert supplied Rule 64.12.10 days stand down to and including 26.05.09 THRILLING TURN Udy & McCraken injury to joint on p2 on left front dog presented vet cert supplied Rule 64.12.10 days stand down to and including 26.05.09 THRILLING ZING I George 100 km Rule 63.10
Race 9 RADIO TRACKSIDE 828AM MANAWATU - C4 - 375 As the lids lifted CHARTERIS BAY jumped away from the boxes straight across the face of ANDERS ROAD who was in box one causing him to be checked Racing in to the first turn CAWBOURNE WHIZ came in as ANDERS ROAD came out causing ANDERS ROAD to go sideways for a couple of strides ,CAWBOURNE CROWN who was in behind these two dogs was checked as he tried to avoid running in to them ANDRES ROAD was vet checked at the trainers request where no abnormalities could be found .
Race 10 BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES - C3 - 375 This race was delayed by two minutes at the request of raceday control HAILSTONE HARLY was slow to leave the boxes As the field raced across the top bend GENISTA BRAVE was tightened between WINSOME DOLL and HAILSTONE HARLY and went back losing several lengths GENISTA FLYER was carried back to the kennels after the race and after a veterinary examination was found to have suffered a fracture of paw and was euthanased----------. GENISTA FLYER Freeman & Turnwald fracture of right front paw ,dog euthanased
