Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305	SPURWAY (fav) was slow away from the boxes but was able to make good ground up on the rail to finish in 3rd position at the line As the field made their way across the top PRINCESS LYLA shied away from SPURWAY as it raced up on her inside and took BIGTIME EYE wide around the top bend and they lost ground and filled the last two positions at the line THRILLING LEO I.George Rule 64 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 14.05.09.
Race 2	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C0 - 520	As the field raced in to the first turn MYREEN came out off the rail and checked KAIAPOI FIRST, GISELLE QUEEN, and THRILLING LEWIS. KAIAPOI FIRST was able to stay down on the rail and ran on well for 3rd placing at the line On the top bend CHIX DIGIT was dragged down for a stride by GISELLE QUEEN and was noticed to go back through the field and finished in last position at the line and was sent for a vet check as a precaution but suffered no injury.
Race 3	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305	THRILLING KADEE was slowest away Racing in to the first turn ELUSIVE CONQUEST and WHATA ROSE were checked back as DOOLEY'S CHICK came back on them as she was squeezed back out of a gap at that point BIGTIME ELITE Ex Manawatu on 04.05.09. PRINCESS LYLA Gained a start in race 1.
Race 4	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C1 - 305	Racing in to the first turn THRILLING ASTI crossed towards the rail and caused BIGTIME TITLE to be checked back and lost several lengths. CAWBOURNE SHORTY raced wide across the top bend and in to the home straight , which cost him to cover a lot of extra ground and he finished in 5th place at the line THRILLING SHADZ M.Cuneo Rule 64 Suffering from a sprained gluteal and stood down for 10 days to and including 14.05.09.
Race 5	THE RADIO WORKS - C1 - 520	Racing in to the first turn there was tightning as THRILLING TIFF came across towards the rail on to CHIVAS REGAL who came over on to HONEY BOUND and she was checked back and was observed to lose ground throughout the rest of the journey and ran several lengths last at the line. HONEY BOUND was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C2q - 305 Heat 1	Soon after the start BIGTIME DORA came across and caused HAILSTONE HARLY to be checked back and lose several lengths On the top bend GOOGLE MAGOO was attempting to make up ground around the field and came in underneath the neck of BIGTIME DORA causing that dog to fall at that point. BIGTIME DORA regained her feet pretty smartly and continued on to the pulling up area but some twenty or so lengths behind the field. She was sent for a Vet check where no abnormalities were found. FORGET NOT Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a tricep injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 14.05.09
Race 7	GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C1 - 520	As the field raced in to the first turn there was tightning as GOSS SAGE came across fast towards the rail and caused checks to THRILLING NEO and to a lesser extent, GUILTY VERDICT. As the field was pulling up to the lure ELLABILLE ANGEL was observed to roll on to the rail and was sent for a Vet check where bruising was detected and a 7 day stand down was ordered. ELLABILLE ANGEL S Maher General bruising Rule 82.1. 7 days stand down to and including 11.05.09.
Race 8	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C2q - 305 Heat 1	As they left the boxes BLAKES ANGEL came across on to BITTA ZIP and PAYNE ZONE causing these two dogs to lose a few lengths . BLAKES ANGEL also dropped back after this and never got into contention from there on in.
Race 9	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305	At the start BIGTIME MATE came straight across on to SEDGEBROOK SKY and CAWBOURNE DI causing them to lose ground at that point. Also, as they left the boxes GEMMA SAGE came across on to HOMEBUSH TARNZ and she was unbalanced for a few strides. As the field raced down to the first turn SEDGEBROOK SKY changed ground inwards as HOMEBUSH TARNZ came out at the same time GEMMA SAGE hit CAWBOURNE DI on the rump turning her sideways and she came out onto SEDGEBROOK SKY who was squeezed between dogs and almost dragged down as EVA TITU came across hard towards the rail.
Race 10	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305	DRIVING FOREWARD was slow away and was forced to race very wide across the top bend and into the home straight but ran on determindly for 3rd placing at the line. As the field raced around the top bend DRIVING FORWARD ran wide and took THRILLING AMY with her and this caused them to cover a lot of extra ground. On the point of the top bend BIGTIME SADDAM was making good ground around the field when he got on the heels of FIGHT NIGHT and had to change ground outwards and lost momentem and he finished at the rear. LISSADEL SAM raced wide into and around the top bend costing himself any chance of a closer finish.
