The winner THRILLING ASTI appeared to have suffered an injury when pulling up at the lure and she was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C0 - 520 | BAYLISS BALE ran in from the start and checked THRILLING LEWIS who lost a little ground. BAYLISS BALE and THRILLING TYSON jostled on the first corner and again on the first bend and BAYLISS BALE moved out at that point and checked PURE FURY and HE'S A STUNNER who lost four lengths and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. |
| Race 3 | MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305 | The favourite BIGTIME ALEX and HOMEBUSH LADY were slow to begin and HOMEBUSH LADY stayed at the rear throughout and finished in last place. BIGTIME ALEX did make up ground but ran a little wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in 6th place. PERFECT CREEK was checked on the bend losing ground and stayed back to finish in 7th place. |

General tightening in the race to the first corner resulted in checks to LAGOON MONROE, THRILLING HONEY, PEACE ICON and WHAT'S UP ADDIS who all lost a little ground. HOMEBUSH EMMA was midfield on the bend but was bumped from the inside and lost ground. |

| Race 9 | BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305 | ALAMEIN FLASH moved out and jostled MISS TORI for several strides in the run to the first corner and MISS TORI lost ground. MANNIN THE WAKA was checked adjacent to the rail on the first corner losing several lengths and he finished in last place. PENIE'S FROM J.T.McInerney Rule 68 A late scratching when found to have filling in a hock at kennelling time and stood down for 5 days to and including 19.04.09. |
| Race 10 | WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305 | Tightening from the outside on the first corner resulted in severe checks to THRILLING TASHA who fell and also to FIGHT NIGHT who lost several lengths and all chance. THRILLING TOD was also affected in the incident but recovered to finish in 3rd place. THRILLING TASHA was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a puncture wound to a hind leg. JILL suffered a toe injury during the race and was stood down for 28 days.
