Judicial report: Weather: Overcast A charge under Rule 80.1. was preferred against BURN DOWN ROAD (Hart/Taylor) and adjourned to 16 April 2009 pending review of the head on Trackside race film.
A charge under Rule 80.1 was preferred against GROOVE ARMADA (JT McInerney) and wasadjourned to 16 April 2009 pending review of the Trackside race film.
An enquiry was opened and adjourned pending inquiries into a complaint from J McInerney regarding the lack of water on the matting in front of the boxes for Race 20.

Race 1 ADVANCE PET NUTRITION DASH - C1 - 295 DOUGSTAR JAKE was slow to jump. LILLY SKYE and DOUGSTAR JAKE came together soon after the jump.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP STAKES - C0 - 520 Into the first bend KNOW TEARS clipped the heels of the leader DUDLEY RAMA checking LEENY TITLE who came back and checked TIME CATCHER, TIPPY TIPSTAR and HOMEBUSH HAZARD.
Race 3 YALDHURST HOTEL STAKES - C0 - 520 SECRET TRACEY ran outwards into the first bend forcing WARIOR WIKI, WILLY JUNIOR and JESS' CLASS over extra ground. Turning for home WILLY JUNIOR ran out badly interfering with SECRET TRACEY and WARRIOR WIKI. WAYNE'S CLASS (BC Dann) inappetence and weight loss. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 9 May 2009.
Race 4 WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ SPRINT - C1 - 295 HOMEBUSH HOLLY drifted to last after the jump. GRANT A CHANCran outwards after the start checking BOTANY ADAM for a couple of strides.
Race 5 WILSON SPORTS BAR & TAB DASH - C1 - 295 DARK ICE ran outwards after the jump checking HERE'S MAREE NOW. TURBO PRINCE who was handy early drifted out around the bend to finish last. A veterinary check revealed a sore left gracilus insertion with a 28 day stand down recommended. TURBO PRINCE (BC Dann) sore left gracilus insertion. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 11 May 2009.
Race 6 WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM STAKES - C1 - 520 The favourite POCKETS FULL was tardy to begin but recovered quickly to trail the leader into the first bend. Into the bend ANYTIME SOON moved outwards checking FANTASY BAXTER, CHAPTER TWO, FLASH SMASH and DASH DOT DASH. INGA THE WINGA (Mitchell/Smith) right hind 3rd toe infection. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 19 April 2009. AKAISHA BALE (DL Roberts) starter in Race 16.
Race 7 HAMPDEN TAVERN STAKES - C1 - 520 BURN DOWN ROAD tightened BE POSITIVE entering the back straight. In the home straight BURN DOWN ROAD appeared to run outwards and ease interfering with KNOW TELLING. A charge under Rule 80.1 was preferred against BURN DOWN ROAD, and was adjourned until 16 April 2009, pending a review of the head on film from Trackside. A subsequent veterinary check revealed BURN DOWN ROAD to have pain in flexion of the neck and left hip support pain on extension, with a 14 day stand down recommended. TIGER BALM (Mitchell/Smith) left hind 4th toe infection. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 19 April 2009. BURN DOWN ROAD (Hart/Taylor) pain on flexion of neck and left hip support pain. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 27 April 2009.
Race 8 ROBBIE'S BAR & BISTRO SPRINT FINAL - C0f - 295 Into the bend FOREVER LOYAL moved down to the rail forcing GENISTA BELLE into the path of SORRENTO SUN. GENISTA BELLE was dragged down and fell with ANOTHER WACK leaping over her and losing all chance. HO HO PAREORA was also checked in the incident. GENISTA BELLE and HO HO PAREORA were subject to veterinary checks. GENISTA BELLE was found to have left shoulder soreness with a 7 day stand down recommended. Nothing was found amiss with HO HO PAREORA. GENISTA SUMMER (JE Dunn) inappetent and off colour. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 19 April 2009. GENISTA BELLE (JE Dunn) sore left shoulder. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 20 April 2009.
Race 9 CLARKSON SIGN STUDIO SPRINT - C0 - 295 TY'S ANGEL was slow to jump. Into the bend HOMEBUSH PERCY tightened GUINEAS GIRL forcing FANTASY GRACE to check sharply outwards. Soon after ROYAL ADONIS ran out of the heels of GUINEAS GIRL colliding with FANTASY GRACE and BRIAN THE LION. Into the straight HOMEBUSH THOMAS ran out and came in contact with ROYAL ADONIS. NOVEMBER RAIN (BR Shaw) left fore 2nd toe injury. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 9 May 2009.
Race 10 COASTER'S TAVERN DASH - C0 - 295 ARROW OF ARTEMIS ran outwards soon after the jump tightened PEG'S ANGEL and MAMBO with MAMBO falling heavily. Both ARROW OF ARTEMIS and PEG'S ANGEL scrambled over the fallen dog losing all chance. All three were subject to veterinary checks with ARROW OF ARTEMIS found with left wrist and shoulder soreness with a stand down on 10 days recommended. The other two were found free of injury. ANOTHER WACK (JT McInerney) starter in Race 8. ARROW OF ARTEMIS (B Bunny) left shoulder and wrist soreness. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 23 April 2009.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK - C0 - 295 HOMEBUSH JAYJAY was slow from the outside box.
Race 12 COALGATE TAVERN SPRINT - C1/2 - 295 LIAM TITLE was slow to jump. Into the bend DANCE FOR DANNY tightened LEO'S BOY and PAREORA DOLL. Soon after BRAVE ENDEAVOUR moved down towards the rail tightening PAINT THE STARS and PARUMBA TIGER.
Race 13 SOUTHERN TRUST DASH - C1/2 - 295 OHOKA DUKE ran outwards after the jump checking HOMEBUSH MARLON. In the home straight CHILE DAN clipped he heels of THEMELO and fell, regaining his feet to finish the race. A post race veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 14 NUTRI-ZING SPRINT - C1 - 295 ANOTHER SAGE checked off CAWBOURNE HANDS into the bend when racing near the rear. KILDA EXPRESS (JT McInerney) split webbing right fore. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 26 April 2009.
Race 15 PICK 6 LEG 1 - C1 - 520 The race was all clear. Following the race he winner ALLEGRINI was subject to a veterinary check which revealed right hind inside sesamoid pain and lameness with a 10 day stand down recommended. HOMEBUSH NICK (JT McInerney) stood down Otago on 9 April 2009. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 18 April 2009. GUNNA SMOKE (C Mitchell) right hip pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 22 April 2009. GEMMA'S COUNTRY (GJ Hodson) left wrist pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 26 April 2009. ALLEGRINI (LJ Waretini) right hind sesamoid pain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 23 April 2009.
Race 16 DUVAUCHELLE HOTEL STAKES FINAL - C1f - 520 AKAISHA BALE checked outwards into the first bend taking VIVALDI ROAD, KNOW WHEN and SWEET PAPOOSE wide on the track. MARKY BLUE (GA Cleeve) vomitting. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 17 April 2009.
Race 17 SUPERPETS DASH - C3 - 295 MOMENT was very slow to jump. Into the bend WONGAWILLISTEVE moved down towards the rail tightening GEMSTONE RUSTY with KNOW CENTS striking the hindquarters of WONGAWILLISTEVE. LE FLAMBEUR (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 20 April 2009.
Race 18 BILL'S BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C2 - 520 SHREK ROXON was tightened soon after the jump. Around the first bend OFF THE RAILS was tightened by an improving WATMOUGH before being clipped by HARBOUR BALE. She drifted to a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed left wrist pain with a 10 day stand down recommended. OFF THE RAILS (RD Blackburn) left wrist pain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 23 April 2009.
Race 19 SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C2/3 - 520 JUDDY was slow to jump. BETTER NOT BALE was tightened into the first bend settling last and finishing well back. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 20 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C3 - 295 On jumping GROOVE ARMADA turned sharply outwards tightening thoise dogs on his outer which resulted in MR FUGLES falling heavily. He regained his feet and finished the event. NATASHA'S DUFFER, MOJAVE MICK and KNOW FAITH were badly checked in the incident. Both MR FUGLES and GROOVE ARMADA were subject to veterinary checks. MR FUGLES sustained a laceration to the nose with a 14 day stand down recommended. GROOVE ARMADA sustained a left fore spike wound which was sutured and bandaged with a 10 day stand down recommended. A charge under Rule 80.1 was preferred against GROOVE ARMADA and that was adjourned until 16 April 2009 pending review of Trackside race film. MR FUGLES (JM Jopson) laceration to nose. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 27 April 2009. GROOVE ARMADA (JT McInerney) left fore spoke wound. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 23 April 2009.
