Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305	FLYIN' KAZI and PRIVATE SHOWING were checked back to the rear on the first corner and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. THRILLING FELIX and KNOW FRIENDS were also affected in the incident and finished just ahead of the other two mentioned runners.
Race 2	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C0 - 520	WAHINE KURE and GOSS SAGE bumped together at the start losing a little ground. WAHINE KURE ran out on the first corner and caused checks to PURE FURY and THRILLING MOSS who were pushed wide into the bend. SPURWAY B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from diarrhoea and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.04.09. Certificate to be supplied.
Race 3	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C1 - 305	CAWBOURNE MELODY galloped on the heels of CAWBOURNE DI on the first corner and they dropped back onto WINSOME DELUXE with all three losing several lengths and they finished in the last three places. TALKABOUT SUZI was slow to begin losing three lengths but then recovered well to win with ease.
Race 4	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C0f - 305	THRILLING CHANT was checked on the first bend and dropped back onto PRINCESS CHOLET and they lost several lengths and all chance. THRILLING LILLI was checked on the bend and dropped back and was galloped on by KARAMU THUNDER and lost further ground and any chance of a placing.
Race 5	GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C1 - 520	All clear. CAWBOURNE SPEED Ex Manawatu on 06.04.09. THRILLING MINDY K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from a sprained tendon and stood down for 10 days to and including 15.04.09. THRILLING TIFF D.Parata Rule 64 Suffering from stopper pad injuries and stood down for 7 days to and including 13.04.09.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C1f - 520	SERIOUS CHARGE had to check over the heels of CHIVAS REGAL on the final bend but then ran on well for 2nd place.
Race 7	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1 - 305	LESHITA and YES MISS were checked on the first corner losing several lengths and they finished well back in the rear group. HOT SPICEY BOY D.Parata Rule 64 Suffering from a stopper pad injury and stood down for 5 days to and including 11.04.09. ROBTITLE Gained a start in race 9.
Race 8	THE RADIO WORKS - C1 - 520	WHAT'S UP ADDIS was checked and lost a little ground on the first corner when THRILLING ACE moved in towards the rail.
Race 9	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305	The favourite WINSOME DOLL was severely checked on the first corner, almost fell and finished in last place. NEW BEGINNING C & W Morris Rule 64 Suffering from diarrhoea and stood down for 10 days to and including 17.04.09. Certificate to be supplied. LORD OF WAR Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a stopper tendon injury and is now retired.
Race 10	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305	LITTLE GYMNIST was jostled in the race to the first corner and dropped back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. QUEEN LIZZY and RAT INDEED jostled together for several strides in the run to the first turn and they lost ground and finished well back.
