Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer LC Jensen was fined $25.00 for a breach of Rule 88.1.p. when failing to comply with the lawful order of a Steward when asked to stand back from the boxes. The adjudicating steward took into account his admittance of the breach, the fact that this was Mr Jensen's first offence and the circumstances surrounding the breach.

Race 1 THE BROWNZY SPORTS BAR SPRINT - C1 - 318 Favourite THRILLING IRIS was last to jump running on late for fifth. FLYBY JOEY was tightened between runners soon after the jump and settled well back. Into the bend KALDEN KAOS asppeared to clip the heels of FLYBY JOEY and fell. This dog completed the course with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 2 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C0 - 527 MISS VIP came up with the lids and lost ground while CAWBOURNE SNOWY appeared to stumble and dropped to the rear on settling. LAURIE'S BEST stopped badly in the run to the final bend finishing a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed a supraspinatus tendon injury with a twelve day stand down recommended. LAURIE'S BEST (G Calverley) left fore supraspinatus tendon injury. Rule 82.1. 12 days up to and including 16 April 2009.
Race 3 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS - C1 - 527 RASMAH was checked soon after the jump and settled back in the field. THRILLING BRIT was checked and dragged down into the first bend dropping to the rear. Shortly after this DENNY JEWEL checked off the back of JULIE'S LADY losing a couple of lengths. On the home turn the eventual winner RASMAH came together with TAILS OFF for a stride.
Race 4 CAROL'S TAB'S SERIES FINAL - C1f - 318 MOONSHINE LASS was badly tightened and dragged down in the early stages dropping out to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. Into the bend ANOTHER JENNY ran down towards the rail tightening JILL who lost a few lengths.
Race 5 $20,000 PICK 6 STAKES - C3 - 318 END ZONE and AGENT WHALE were both tightened into the bend and lost ground.
Race 6 UNCLE ALEX STAKES - C1 - 527 WHAT SHIRAZ was slow to jump while CAWBOURNE BOTROS and SPINNING COMET bumped together after a few strides. PICCADILLY ran outwards soon after the first bend when checking off the heels of the leaders.
Race 7 INTERISLANDER SPRINT - C2 - 318 THRILLING SNOW was tightened along the inside as he came together with SUPER DRY in the run to the bend.
Race 8 RODEWALD HART BROWN SPRINT - C5 - 318 ENSIGN, ROCKY BEND GIRL and COWBOY JAKE were all severely tightened as THRILLING GAME looked for the rail at the end of the back straight with ROCKY BEND GIRL falling as a result. She completed the course with a post race veterinary check revealing left adductor pain with a seven day satnd down recommended. ROCKY BEND GIRL (NP Green) left adductor pain after fall. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 11 April 2009.
Race 9 DANNY O'KEEFFE MEMORIAL STAKES - C2/3 - 527 LOONEY LEE was tightened in the early run and then turned sideways by STAND OUT MATT. This caused LOONEY LEE to run outwards pushing STAND OUT MATT, KING JACK and FANCY KATE over extra ground. KIMMY'S DIVA was also checked in this incident. NEREZZA (LD Martin) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty.
Race 10 THE ALAMO BAR & TAB SPRINT - C3/4 - 318 TRILLING WOLF and CANYA SEE ME came together for a stride into the bend while TERROR JIM checked off runners and lost ground.
