| Race 1 | ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C0 - 390 | TY'S ANGEL and SORRENTO SUN were both very slow to jump. Into the bend TEE ESS KAY ran outwards coming in contact with ZAZU BOY. SORRENTO SUN caught the field by the bend improving along the rail before forcing HOMEBUSH LIBBY out of his way into the home straight to get up and win. |
| Race 2 | SOUTHERN FLOOR CARE LTD - C0 - 390 | HOMEBUSH JAY JAY turned in the boxes taking no competitive part in the race. She was ordered to undertake a box trail in accordance with Rule 72.13. A post race veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. Into the bend MALROY and NOVEMBER RAIN came together when vying for the lead. Soon after BLACK MUSCAT checked out off MALROY before HOMEBUSH PERCY checked off BLACK MUSCAT when improving. Into the straight BLUE RAGE improved along the rail forcing NOVEMBER RAIN out onto MALROY. HOMEBUSH JAY JAY (JT McInerney) ordered to undertake a box trial in accordance with Rule 72.13. |
| Race 3 | $22 MUZZLE STAKES - C0 - 457 | TIPPY TIPSTAR was very slow to jump. Into the bend WOOF INGILLTAB, HO HO PAREORA, POUTAMA RAMA and BOTANY SHELLEY came together forcing HOMEBUSH THOMAS to run wide in avoiding the skirmish. |
| Race 4 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C0 - 390 | HOMEBUSH HASARD weighed in 1.7kgs above his last race start weight on 10 March 2009. This was his first start for his new trainer DE STAPLETON. LAUREN'S LEGACY jumped to the lead before moving outwards into the bend checking COOL'S THE TUNE and forcing TARYN ROSE and HOMEBUSH HANNAH wide on the track. Turning for home COOL'S THE TUNE tightened HOMEBUSH PEARL who lost ground to finish last. |

Around the bend STUMPY RELTUB ran outwards checking THRILLING BECKY both losing momentum. SILENT STRYKER (CJ Weir) muscle soreness to right shoulder. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 7 April 2009. CHLOE BEAR (BC Dann) scratched at Christchurch on 31 March 2009. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 12 April 2009. |

| Race 9 | ILT SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE - C2/3 - 390 | GROOVE ARMADA ran down to the rail after the jump tightening HOMER HAND and THEMELO who lost ground. Into the bend WONGAWILLISTEVE ran outwards checking NATASHA'S DUFFER. Soon after ZORRO MAN and NATASHA'S DUFFER came together. |
| Race 10 | WWW.SOUTHLANDGREYHOUNDS.CO.NZ - C1 - 457 | MILLY'S MATE drifted to the rear in the run to the bend. Around the bend PANGO WILL HE crossed BOTANY KAREN who sustained a check drifting out to finish last. |
| Race 11 | SOUTHLAND TIPPING COMPETITION - C1/2 - 390 | AGENT BOND jumped awkwardly from the boxes checking THRILLING JAZZ on her inner and CRAFTY CLEEVE on her outer . Into the bend LEO'S BOY was badly checked when tightened between FREDDIE SAGE and BULLS EYE PETE. The head on race film showed AGENT BOND to have had her right leg resting on the bottom section of the lids and when they released that leg lifted with the lids causing her to be unbalanced at the jump. She was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. |
| Race 12 | SGRC SOUTH ISLAND BREEDERS SERIES #4 - SPECA - 390 | WILLY'S PRIDE was tightened into the bend losing all chance. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. |
| Race 13 | LONESTAR CAFE & BAR - C1 - 457 | HOMEBUSH ELTON ran inwards after the jump colliding with FLASH SMASH both losing ground. |
| Race 14 | KELVIN HOTEL - C2/3 - 457 | WINSOME CYCLONE was checked soon after the jump. Into the bend PARANOVA, JUDDY and FLING ASPEN came together all losing ground to finish at the rear. |
| Race 15 | SEE YA NEXT TIME STAKES - C4/5 - 390 | BIONIC DREAM improved along the rail into the bend forcing SAINT DANIEL outwards where he was hit by HOMEBUSH CASTOR and fell. A trailling DUWANNA HAND jumped the fallen dog. SAINT DANIEL finished the race and a veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. |
