Judicial report: Weather: Cloudy Trainer L.D.Bell was fined $50 for presenting PAYTON BALE 1.6 kg up from his previous race weight of 34.7 kg on 20/3/09.
Trainer C.Morris was spoken to advisedly with regards to boxing her dog before being given the all clear to box by the starter.

Race 1 WENHAM GRAIN & SEED HEAT ONE - C0q - 457 Heat 1 VIOLET JAZZ received a slight check from THRILLING SHADZ racing into the first bend with VIOLET JAZZ losing some ground. VIOLET JAZZ ran out on the home bend when well back in the field causing interference to MYREEN.
Race 2 WENHAM GRAIN & SEED HEAT TWO - C0q - 457 Heat 1 TEN BY FIFTY began on terms with the field but was squeezed shortly after between THRILLING TYSON and HE'S A STUNNER and drifted back to last. MIGHTY BIG SAM and HOMEBUSH LADY came together just prior to the first bend with MIGHTY BIG SAM losing ground as a result. A post race veterinary inspection was carried out on KARAKA ASSASSIN which revealed an injury to his left fore stopper pad. JASON BOURNE (D.M.Donlon). Infected left shoulder wound. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. 14 day stand down up to and including 11/4/09. KARAKA ASSASSIN (C.Clark). Abraision to left fore stopper pad. Rule 82.1. 5 day stand down up to and including 3/4/09.
Race 3 MANAWATU - YOUNG HEART EASY LIVING - C1 - 375 ROBTITLE, THRILLING LEE, MISS TORI and RAT INDEED were inconvenienced when ZACHARY SAME crossed to the lead on the first bend with all four dogs losing ground.
Race 4 DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C1 - 457 CAWBOURNE POINTA ran out on the point of the turn forcing FLY WITH ACTION over extra ground. HOMEBUSH JAKE (J.T.McInerney). Late scratching. Laceration on right tibia requiring stiches. Rule 68.26. 10 day stand down up to and including 8/4/09.
Race 5 SPORTSLODGE MOTEL, WANGANUI - C2 - 375 BLUE CHIP VIRUS jumped very well to be on terms with the leader racing into the first bend, however he received a check from behind from BIGTIME SCAR at the top of the straight and losing considerable ground. ALAMEIN FATS (D.E.Kettlewell). Injury to left dectuineus. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. 7 day stand down up to and including 4/4/09.
Race 6 GRANT IRVINE PHARMACY SPRINT - C3 - 375 Favourite WINSOME JESS jumped on terms with the field but appeared to falter shortly after finishing a long last. A post race veterinary check was carried out on WINSOME JESS which revealed an injury to the left quadriceps. WONGAWILLINEV (B.R.D.Cole). Gastritis. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. 5 day stand down up to and including 2/4/09. WINSOME JESS (D.D.Schofield). Injury to left quadriceps muscle. Rule 82.1. 21 day stand down up to and including 19/4/09.
Race 7 DELTA DRAINAGE & WATER SERVICES - C4 - 375 GO GROOVY was tightened for room on the inside of BACK DRAUGHT. A post race veterinary check was carried out on RYMOR REASON which revealed a laceration to a toe on the left hind foot which required anaestic and stitching. RYMOR REASON was to be post race swabbed in this race, however Raceday Veterinary Surgeon (Dr. C. Boyce) was of the opinion that local anaestetic administered as a result of this dogs injury would contravene the result of a swab. JAMES BEE (W.T.Hodgson). Scratching ex Wanganui 27/3/09. RYMOR REASON (J&J Tapiki). Injury to a toe on left hind foot requiring anaestetic and stitching. Rule 82.1. 14 day stand down up to and including 12/4/09.
Race 8 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C4/5 - 457 All clear. BROCKMAN LAD (B.R.D.Cole). Scratching ex Wangnui 27/3/09.
Race 9 RADIO TRACKSIDE 828AM MANAWATU - C5 - 375 CHARTERIS BAY was very slow to begin. Shortly after the start DA COOLA ran in and collided with WINSOME LIGHT with both of these dogs losing ground and finishing well back in the field. SIR KRETION (J.T.McInerney). Injury to a left toe. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. 14 day stand down up to and including 10/4/09.
Race 10 BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES MIDDLE DISTANCE - C2/3 - 457 CAWBOURNE CROWN got onto the heels of ADDIS JAY at the end of the back straight with ADDIS JAY being momentarily inconvenienced. MICK BAXTER (J.T.McInerney). Rule 64.14. 28 day stand down up to and including 25/4/09.
