Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainers LC and LP Joyce were fined $50.00 after admitting a breach of Rule 64.2 as a result of BORN ENTERTAINER not being presented to start at the Tokoroa GRC meeting of 22 March 2009. The adjudicating steward took into account Mr Joyce's clean record, his admittance of the charge and mitigating circumstances in relation to the contacting of the trainer in fixing this amount. The adjudicating steward Mr K Coutts stressed that the onus is on the trainer to ascertain the status of emergency greyhounds especially when the trainer is not contactable on a given phone number.

| Race 3 | GREYHOUNDS AS PETS SPRINT - C3/4 - 318 | END ZONE and FERVID were both tightened soon after the jump as FAST STASS from the outside and ROCKY BEND GIRL from the inside came together. FERVID and BIGTIME NEV also came together shortly after while racing towards the rear. BEACH STREET (BDF Craik) dislocated toe. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 24 April 2009. |
| Race 4 | JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C2 - 318 | INDIA BLUE and HOMEBUSH BUBBLES both suffered tightening in the run down the back straight losing ground. Into the turn VALUE PACK checked outwards off the back of HOT DOC and checked SUPER DRY who lost ground. Soon after this HOMEBUSH BUBBLES appeared to come into contact with the rail after coming into contact with SUPER DRY when at the rear. A post race veterinary check of HOMEBUSH BUBBLES revealed a dew claw injury with a seven day stand down recommended. HOMEBUSH BUBBLES (JR Udy) right fore dew claw injury. Favourite TESS TOKAAM received a check when racing on the outside of DREAM A WIN into the bend and lost a few lengths. THRILLING GAME (Mathews/Lozell) sprained toe. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 1 April 2009. HARKA LEE (LP & LC Joyce) diarrhoea and treated with antibiotics. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied.
