Judicial report: Weather: Fine Following a defended hearing on 17 March 2009 the Adjudicating Steward reserved decision on a charge under Rule 88.1.p against Mr SR McInerney resulting from an incident at the start of Race 9 at the meeting of the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club on 10 February 2009. The charge was found proven and Mr McInerney was fined $200.
Mr JR Goode was fined $75 after submissions were heard by the Adjudicating Steward on a charge laid under Rule 88.1.o following an incident at trials held by the Christchurch GRC on 29 December 2008.
An investigation was opened pursuant to Rule 88.1.q into an incident at the Addington Events Centre on 10 March 2009 involving a licensed person and the beverage manager.

KOSTYA BALE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. |
| Race 3 | WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ DASH - C1 - 295 | In the run to the turn HE'S SO FINE crossed over from the outside and was struck in the rear by KNOW SPORTY who went back on top of a trailing CAP FANTASTIC. CASANRA BALE finished at the rear of the field and was subject to a veterinary check which revealed left shoulder pain with a 10 day stand down recommended. Following the race KNOW SPORTY and HE'S SO FINE were also subject to veterinary checks which revealed no injuries. CASANRA BALE (JT McInerney) left shoulder pain. | Race 4 | DUVAUCHELLE HOTEL STAKES - C1 - 520 | In the run to the turn FOLLOW MY HAZE crossed over and checked the running of CHILE TIME who lost ground and finished 6th. A post race veterinary check on CHILE TIME revealed the dog to have fractured his left hind 3rd toe with a 28 day stand down recommended. BE POSITIVE (RD Blackburn) was a late scratching at kenneling with diarrhoea and high temperature. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 30 March 2009. | Race 5 | BARRONS SUPPLIES DASH - C1 - 295 | From the jump HOMEBUSH HOLLY crossed over to the rail from the 5 box and tightened the dogs on its inner. Into the turn STUMPY RELTUB checked off the rear of COREY'S COMET and went wide forcing VEONICA over extra ground. LIAM BALE was last to jump but made ground along the rail and ran on strongly to win. |

| Race 7 | POWER FARMING LTD STAKES - C1 - 520 | TIGER BALM lost several lengths at the jump. In the run to the first turn FROSTY EQUATOR moved inewards and checked the running of FUN TICKETS who went back to the rear and never recovered. Into the home straight TIGER BALM eased outwards and forced FLASH SMASH and FROSTY EQUATOR over extra ground. HOMEBUSH NICK (JT McInerney) right shoulder bruise. Dog presented. | Race 8 | ADDINGTON EVENTS CENTRE DASH - C1 - 295 | In the run to the turn as the field tightened CAWBOURNE HANDS climbed into the rear of RED FOX GRACE who fell and took no further part in the race. During the incident BOTOX BARBIE also received a check and went backwards to finish at the rear of the field. RED FOX GRACE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed swelling and bruising to shoulder and lame in right foreleg with a 21 day stand down recommended. | Race 19 | SPEIGHTS SIX PACK STAKES - C2 - 520 | At the end of the back straight VELOCITY LANE when running on from fourth turned its head onto BOON DOCK and then again turned its head on the same dog in the run to the line. VELOCITY LANE was charged under Rule 80.1.a with marring the running of another greyhound during the race and stood down for three months as this was the second offence and to complete a Satisfactory Trial. VELOCITY LANE (J&D Fahey) stood down under Rule 80.1.a. As this was the second offence under this Rule the dog was stood down for three months up to and including 24 June 2009 and ordered to complete a Satisfactory Trial.. |
