Judicial report: Weather: Fine Handler K Maisey was warned under Rule 88.1.x after the starter reported that he had banged on the back of the boxes after his dog had been loaded away. Mr Maisey stated that he did not realise that this was an offence and would refrain from doing this in the future. Due to Mr Maisey's good record it was deemed that a warning was sufficient in this instance.

Race 1	LECTRO HAIR & BEAUTY SPRINT - C0 - 318	FLYING WHALE dragged VIREYA down for a stride in the run down the back straight. VIREYA recovered well to win the event. On the bend the favourite SHARMANS MAGIC checked outwards off the heels of the pacemaking LOONEY MAGIC and checked HOMEBUSH TUI and CARIBBEAN EBONY with the latter dog falling. FLYING WHALE and THRILLING SHADZ were also checked in this incident and lost their chances. A post race veterinary check of CARIBBEAN EBONY revealed a medial elbow injury with a seven day stand down recommended. THRILLING ANGUS (GE Harding) right deep pectoral sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 22 March 2009. CARIBBEAN EBONY (K&C Munday) left fore medial elbow injury after fall. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 21 March 2009.
Race 2	LYNFIELD TAB STAKES - C0f - 527	COMET PRINCESS was last to jump running on late for sixth. HISTORY RETOLD and THRILLING SLY came together into the first bend WIRE IT UP was found to have a pad graze after the race with a ten day stand down recommended. WIRE IT UP (SP Clark) left hind main pad graze. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 24 March 2009.
Race 3	OWNAGREYHOUND.COM SPRINT - C0 - 318	CARIBBEAN JACK again proved difficult to box and under Rule 72.10 will be boxed first in the future. FAILED TO STOP was very slow to jump. Into the bend SWANTON BOMB was badly tightened along the inside and dropped to the rear while soon after CAWBOURNE SHORTY hit the running rail free of interference. Shortly after the finish line MEMPHIS ANGEL fell when colliding with another dog but got up straight away and chased to the lure. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on these three dogs with no injuries found. THRILLING GIRL (GE Harding) left long head triceps sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 22 March 2009.
Race 4	THE BROWNZY SPORTS BAR SPRINT - C3 - 318	HOMEBUSH VIEW was checked into the bend when wide out on the track dropping to the rear. MOON DANCER (AJ Schneider) was a late scratching at kennelling with a sprained right fore digit 2. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 24 March 2009.
Race 5	GUADA RESTAURANT & BAR STAKES - C1 - 527	SUZIE THE FLUZY and TOTAL INFERNO came together on the first bend when towards the rear. DOLLY BREEN was wide into the first bend but dropped out to finish last some 24 lengths from the winner. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn tensor fascia lava muscle with a twenty one day stand down recommended. MOONSHINE LASS (HR Bond) stood down at Manukau on 12 March 2009. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 16 March 2009. DOLLY BREEN (SP Clark) torn tensor fascia lava muscle. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 6 April 2009.
Race 6	CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C1 - 318	GRADUATED CLASS, KYLASI and THRILLING AMY all came together in tight quarters at the end of the back straight with GRADUATED CLASS hitting the rail. THRILLING AMY lost ground in this incident. A post race veterinary check of GRADUATED CLASS revealed no injury. Shortly after this THRILLING HONEY received a check when racing on the outside of RASMAH and lost some ground.
Race 7	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C2/3 - 527	Favourite SHINE FOR US was slow then tightened in the early rush hitting the rail into the first bend. She remained well back with a post race veterinary check revealing a bruised calf muscle with a seven day stand down recommended. STAND OUT MATT was tightened early as SPY POWERS crossed quickly from his outside and then also checked outwards off DARK FANCY on the first bend. SHINE FOR US (W Steele) left proximal calf muscle injury and bruising after hitting rail. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 21 March 2009.
Race 8	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C1 - 318	THRILLING DEE was checked by KALDEN KAOS in the run to the bend losing some ground. Wider out on the track RUNAWAY ROSCO and THRILLING JIM came together with GREG SMURFEE copping a bad check in behind them.
Race 9	TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT - C5 - 318	WINSOME LIGHT checked off the back of DISCO JORDY on the home turn losing some momentum. CAWBOURNE JAMES (LP & LC Joyce) mild left hock sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 20 March 2009.
Race 10	THE ALAMO BAR & TAB SPRINT - C2 - 318	DAVINCI was checked as NEREZZA crossed her from an outside draw and lost a length. SEXY GIRL SUTTON ran outwards into the bend checking SUPER DRY with both dogs dropping to the rear where they stayed. A post race veterinary check of SEXY GIRL SUTTON revealed a sprained toe with a twenty one day stand down recommended. SEXY GIRL SUTTON (JR Udy) left fore sprained toe. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 6 April 2009.
