Judicial report: Weather: Fine Starter Mr G.Sharp admitted a breach of Rule 88 (1) f -1; in that he used abusive and insulting language towards Assistant Stipendairy Steward Mr M.Austin at the Auckland Greyhound Racing Clubs Meeting on the 15th January 2009. Mr Sharp was suspended from his starting duties from 16th March 2009 until the 27th March 2009. this equates to three race meetings and any trial days in between. In fixing this penalty the Adjudicating Steward Mr R.Quirk took the following into account.
The frank admission of the breach of the rule by Mr.Sharp
The apology given by Mr.Sharp to Mr.Austin
That Mr.Sharp has not been charged with any related offences in the past.
The frustration felt by Mr Sharp at being informed by Mr.Austin that his actions were beyond his normal duties
Mr.Sharp was informed that any further breaches of this rule would not be treated with the same leniency.
Trainer Mrs.C.J.Derecourt received a warning under Rule 88 (1) (0).in relation to an incident on the 22nd february 2009 and a complaint of using offensive language to trainer Mrs.M.P.Mann. The Stewards took into account that the complainant had accepted a written apology from Mrs.Derecourt and that Mrs.Derecourt was upset about having lost a dog shortly before the incident.

Race 1	LEAMINGTON DISTANCE - C1/2d - 603	Shy Neena , Girl Leg, Eddy's Goal & Will She Echo were the slowest to begin. Will She Echo was held up for clear racing room on entering the home straight this runner squezed through a gap and went on to win after being very slow away.
Race 2	MATANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 527	Thrilling Sly was slow to begin also Comet Princess went up with the lids and was very slow away. There was general tightening into the first turn with Onset forcing History Retold onto Thrilling Sly and Matrix Hero with these four runners being checked in this incident .
Race 3	NZ COMMUNITY TRUST SPRINT - C3/4 - 318	Street Tall and Sydenham Smith came together after the start and were checked for a stride. Awesome Voyage tightend Run Off Me onto Agent Vicky and New Clear Power , Run Off Me dropped back sharply after this incident all of these runners were checked in this incident.
Race 4	SUPERIOR CHUNKY DOG ROLL SPRINT - C5 - 318	Zensu, Annies Brat and Thrilling Force were the slowest to begin. Harka Lee ran in after the start and Tess Tokaam ran out this incident denied Winsome Light clear racing room and this runner was checked in this incident.Zensu was checked into the first turn when Annies Brat cut into towards the rail both Zensu and Annies Brat were checked in this incident.
Race 5	RAGLAN STAKES - C1 - 527	Thrilling Web was the slowest to begin. After the start Suzie The Fluzy and Moonshine Lass came together for several strides. Tee Kay Girl and Tails Off contacted each other after the start. Tails Off was checked when Thrilling Web crossed to the rail on entering the home straight. Moonshine Lass was sent for a vet check after this runner hit the lure and injured itself (Bruised left wrist (Carpus) 5 day standdown). Race 6	PROTECTOR SAFETY STAKES - C2/3 - 527	Positive Gold, Hucky Huck, Thrilling Neo and Rezende were the slowest to begin. Hucky Huck and Thrilling Neo came together for a few strides after the start. Hucky Huck was sent for a vet check which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 7	TAMAHERE DASH - C2 - 318	Dream Seeker, Super Dry and Central Cyrus were the slowest to begin. As the field raced into the first turn Super Dry was badley checked when caught between Dream Seeker and India Blue. After this incident India Blue was pushed out onto Sexy Girl Sutton these four runners were checked to varying degrees in this incident. Central Cyrus ran very wide around the turn out of the straight.
Race 8	TAB PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C5 - 527	Young Daddy and Riddle Man were the slowest to begin. Appointed Time, Paddy Bond , Cawbourne Tiger and Light Westerly went into the first turn locked together racing very tightly Light Westerly was forced into the path of Young Daddy with Young Daddy climbing on the heels of Light Westerly. Light Westerly raced in last place following this check. A post race Vet check on Light Westerly revealed an injury (torn bottom lip) 10 day stand down from racing. Race 9	TAUWHARE DASH - C3 - 318	Coincide was the slowest to begin. After the start Witch Jasper ran out forcing Lauretana Boy onto Nutty Squirrel these three runners were checked in this incident. Into the first turn Coleridge Andy contacted Mohecan Harry and was checked As the field swung for home Coincide contacted Coleridge Andy and Nutty Squirrel. Coleridge Andy was post raced vet checked and this revealed small cuts and grazes over digits right hind foot with a five day stand down from racing recommended. Race 10	DUAL CODE 19/3 @ CAMBRIDGE - C5 - 318	Dream A Win was the slowest to begin. After the start Sally's Babe ran out forcing DreramA Win onto Disco Jordy and Cawbourne Cathy , Cawbourne Cathy was turned sideways in this incident with the aformentioned runners all suffering interferance in this incident.Into the first bend Longford Annie ran out forcing Sally's Babe onto Cawbourne Cathy these runners being checked in this incident.
