Race 1	VICTORIA BUSHFIRE APPEALS MAIDEN - C0 - 375	CAWBOURNE SERENE and WHATA ROSE were slow to begin. CAWBOURNE SERENE made up ground to finish 4th but WHATA ROSE then ran very wide over extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 2	GEON WELLINGTON - C1 - 375	FLASHFIRE COAL ran in from the start and forced HEALING CRYSTAL onto SHARKY MAGOO who was jostled for a couple of strides.
Race 3	DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C1 - 375	PORT OF SPARTA and THRILLING TIFF collided on the first corner and both lost several lengths and they finished at the rear.
Race 4	PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C1 - 375	There was no head on coverage for this race On the first corner SOLITAIRE STAR had to check back off the heels of JENNIMORE and lost a couple of lengths RYHANA REASON was noticed to be lame after the race and was sent for a vet examination and stood down for 14 days with a gracilus muscle injury. ADDIS SUNSET Ex Wanganui on 27.02.09. BLAKE'S ANGEL Ex Auckland on 01.03.09. RHYANA REASON M.Olden Rule 82 Suffered a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 17.03.09.
Race 5	ALTO PACKAGING STAKES - C2/3 - 375	All clear.
Race 6	SPRINGFRESH WATER - C2/3 - 375	DOUBLE HAPPY was tightened against the rail on the first corner losing several lengths and he finished in last place.
Race 7	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C5 - 375	CAWBOURNE RAY ran out from the start and BACK DRAUGHT ran in and this resulted in several runners drawn between being tightened and checked. The favourite BLACK TIE was one of those checked and he also checked off the heels of RUN LIKE JAKE on the bend losing further ground and finished in 6th place.
Race 8	KERB & CONCRETE - C4/5 - 457	JAMES BEE was checked on the first corner and lost ground but was observed to be running on at the finish for 5th place. LAGOON FIFI B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from a spike wound and stood down for 7 days to and including 10.03.09.
Race 9	INTERISLANDER - C1/2 - 457	FLY WITH ACTION and LIFE BECKONS were checked on the first corner and dropped out to the rear and stayed there to the finish. The winner WITCH JASPER and SUZY MAC bumped together on the home turn and SUZY MAC lost momentum and possibly the chance of a closer placing than 4th.
Race 10	GAP, ADOPT A GREYHOUND - C4 - 375	The favourite SIMPLY BLESSED was awkwardly placed between runners and lost ground on the bend. She dropped back and collided with NO DRAMA DON losing further ground and finished in last place.
