Judicial report: Weather: Rain clearing to fine. Following Trials which were conducted after the last race, a complaint was received from the Trials starter regarding alleged offensive language used to him by a Trainer. Enquiries into the allegation will be made by the Steward in Charge.

Race 1 ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C1 - 305 BIGTIME MATE was handy on the first corner but was checked on the bend losing several lengths and he finished in last place.
Race 2 MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C1/2 - 520 CHIVAS REGAL had to check off the heels of ELLABILLE ANGEL on the final bend and lost a little ground.
Race 3 BILDERBECK CONSTRUCTION LTD - C1 - 305 HOT SPICEY BOY began awkwardly losing ground and he settled at the rear and stayed well back to finish in 6th place. The favourite CHINESE GIRL led until rounding the bend but was galloped on by FORGET NOT and both lost ground but recovered to finish in 2nd and 3rd places.
Race 4 CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD - C2 - 305 One of the favourites WINSOME SKY was slow to begin losing all chance and she finished in 6th place.
Race 5 VITA POWER - C3 - 305 GO BEN GO and BAILEYS DREAM were slow to begin and although they made up ground, they were never a chance of finishing in the dividend places.
Race 6 NZRS DISTANCE #12 - RESdq - 755 Heat 1 TIZZY LEE BUCKET drifted back early in the race and stayed well back to finish several lengths behind the 2nd last runner. TIZZY LEE BUCKET was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. JIN JU J.Goode Rule 64 Suffering from diarrhoea and stood down for 28 days to and including 17.03.09. HATIPOV J.Goode Rule 64 Suffering from diarrhoea and stood down for 28 days to and including 17.03.09.
Race 7 KEENAN CONCRETE - C4/5 - 520 WINSOME JESS was checked with a circuit to run and again in the back straight and she never recovered and finished in last place. BROCKMAN LAD B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from vomitting and stood down for 3 days to and including 21.02.09. FIFI THE GENIUS J.Chatfield Rule 82 Suffering from cramp and stood down for 5 days to and including 24.02.09.
Race 8 NZRS DISTANCE #12 - RESdq - 755 Heat 1 FOUR WHITE SOX and TEEGAN collided when jumping from the boxes and they settled at the rear. TEEGAN recovered to win the race. GOES SCIROCCO was handy to the first corner but was then checked losing four lengths. GROOVY SHOT M.Olden Club scratching with no penalty. DON THE HOP J.Goode Ex Addington on 17.02.09.
Race 9 WANGANUI SECURTIY SERVICES - C4/5 - 305 CAB DRIVER and POLSKA jostled together for several strides in the run to the first corner and they both checked losing four lengths and finished in the last two places. BACK DRAUGHT B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from vomitting and stood down for 4 days to and including 22.02.09.
Race 10 SEE YOU @ THE RED - C3/4 - 305 WILL ZAM ran in from the start and pushed MISSING BEEN in causing checks to PAYTON BALE, BIGTIME ASSASSIN and LISA SHIRAZ who all lost ground and any chance of a placing.
