Incident Reports
Race Number | Race Name | Incident Report |
---|---|---|
Race 1 | WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE FIRST 4 - C1 - 375 | THRILLING AMY was tightened in the rush to the bend and dropped back to the rear where she stayed. On the home turn PARK RED checked outwards off the pacemaking DAVINCI and ran very wide taking THRILLING WEB wider around that bend. Both dogs lost ground but rallied well to fill the minor placings. Shortly after this KYLASI also checked outwards off the heels of BIGTIME DANCER and lost ground. WHAT SHIRAZ (TA Green) strained left wrist. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 9 February 2009. |
Race 2 | MATANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 457 | CAWBOURNE BOTROS was badly tightened soon after the jump and dropped to the rear. As he improved he got on the back of MYREEN with these dogs losing more ground and tailing the field. A post race veterinary check of MYREEN revealed no injury. |
Race 3 | TAMAHERE DASH - C1 - 375 | TOTAL INFERNO was held up for room in the run to the bend. He ran on for fifth when clear. Following the race THRILLING CAM was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a torn web with a twenty-one day stand down recommended. THRILLING CAM (K Walsh) torn webbing. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 25 February 2009. |
Race 4 | TAUWHARE STAKES FIRST 4 - C1 - 457 | TAILS OFF received a slight check and lost a length on the bend. There was no head on view available for this race. |
Race 5 | PROTECTOR SAFETY DASH - C1 - 375 | SPY POWERS ran inwards soon after the jump checking BIG ARCHIE and CATCH THE BREEZE. DOUBLEO TOM and BANG WALLOP came together into the bend with both dogs losing some ground. |
Race 6 | RACEWAY SPRINT SIX PACK - C5 - 375 | TIGGER FOOT was first out but then was tightened in the run to the bend and relegated back to the rear. SUISSA ran wide into the home straight losing some ground but came home quickly for fourth. |
Race 7 | RAGLAN SPRINT - C3 - 375 | Into the bend HISTORY NEVER ducked outwards sharply possibly because of NATIONAL DEBT crossing quickly from an outside draw. This caused HISTORY NEVER and ZAMBORA MAN to fall and CYCLONE PRESTO, THRILLING BEAU and STREET TALL to be checked out of the race. Unfortunately there was no head on view available so it was impossible to confirm exactly what occurred. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on ZAMBORA MAN and HISTORY NEVER that revealed no injuries. |
Race 8 | HAUTAPU SPRINT - C2 - 375 | THRILLING NATH was a shade slow from the outside but quickly accelerated around the field to hit the lead into the bend, tightening AGENT WHALE, WILD FLYNN and CENTRAL CYRUS as he crossed the field. On the home bend AGENT WHALE and WILD FLYNN came together when racing at the rear. |
Race 9 | SUPERIOR CHUNKY DOG ROLLS SPRINT - C4 - 375 | CROWDED HOUSE received a check from SYDENHAM SMITH soon after the jump and was also tightened into the bend settling well back. DELLACQUA (TA Green) strained left wrist. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 9 February 2009. |
Race 10 | T.A.B PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C4/5 - 457 | WINSOME CRUISER was tightened into the bend and lost ground never recovering. |
