Judicial report: Weather: Raining JT McInerney was charged with a breach of Rule 43.7 in respect of ANOTHER KERRY, a Class 2 graded dog who competed in Race 4, a Class 1 event at the Otago GRC meeting on 22 January 2009. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and sought an adjournment to seek legal advice. His request was granted.

Race 1	ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C0 - 390	After the jump HOMEBUSH CLAIRE ran inwards and checked GENTLE ANNIE who stumbled for a couple of strides. MISTY SHADOW from the inside box jumped to a clear lead from the boxes before running wide in the run to the turn, when ran back down towards the rail checking ALBIE'S STAR and HOMEBUSH HOLLY on her inner.
Race 2	$22 MUZZLE STAKES - C0 - 457	HO HO PAREORA lost all chance when very slow to jump. Into the bend GREAT KAY'S sustained a bad check when tightened by dogs on his outer. Soon after both JOHNNY DUNNIT and WOOF INGILLTAB were tightened losing momentum. HOMEBUSH PERCY (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at meeting of Christchurch GRC on 27 January 2009. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 31 January 2009.
Race 3	SOUTHERN FLOOR CARE - C3 - 390	CHARTERIS BAY was very slow to jump. Into the bend WORLD WARNING tightened HOMER HAND with a trailing AMBERSMOOTH being badly checked. As she drifted she checked CHARTERIS BAY and GEMSTONE RUSTY. HOMEBUSH DUNCAN (JT McInerney) stood down at Christcghurch GRC meeting on 27 January 2009. Rule 82.5. 14days up to and including 8 February 2009.
Race 4	WWW.SOUTHLANDGREYHOUNDS.CO.NZ - C1 - 390	PALEFACE ADIOS and HE'S SO FINE came together into the bend with PALEFACE ADIOS losing ground.
Race 5	BRENDON BURKE @ SOUTHERNWIDE - C1 - 390	THIS AND THAT and WILL'S PRIDE came together into he end losing ground. KARAMEA LABRI (JT McInerney) stood down at meeting of Christchurch GRC on 27 January 2009. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 23 February 2009.
Race 6	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C1/2 - 390	ROBTITLE ran inwards after the jump tightening HANDSOME HAND, ZORRO MAN and CRAFTY CLEEVE who all lost ground. In the home straight CRAFTY CLEEVE clipped heels losing momentum to finish last. GROOVE ARMADA (SR McInerney) was a late scratching at meeting of Christchurch GRC on 27 January 2009. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 5 February 2009.
Race 7	OSBORNE ENGINEERING, BLUFF - C1 - 457	CAWBOURNE RANCH, BEAUTIFUL MOMENT, CHLOE BEAR and MAGIC BURST all came together in the run to the bend losing ground. FLASH SMASH (MM Grant) was a late scratching at kenneling when found with ventral oedema to the right foreleg. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 4 February 2009. BOON DOCK (J&D Fahey) pain and decreased flexion to left fore sesamoid. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 6 February 2009. BOY BUGLER (JF Allen) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty.
Race 8	NEW BOUNCE B POWDER C1 SERIES FINAL - C1f - 390	In the run to the turn VALUE PACK crossed over and checked off the rear of NITRO VIXEN with both dogs losing ground to finish towards the rear. Also in the run to the turn OHOKA DUKE ran into the running rail when free of interference losing momentum but recovering to finish 5th. The dog was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury.
Race 9	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES HEAT 1 - RESq - 457 Heat 1	NORTH INGILLTAB and ELARA lost ground when they came together soon after the jump.
Race 10	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES HEAT 2 - RESq - 457 Heat 1	The favourite MCCRACKEN slipped on jumping from the outside box settling a clear last. He finished midfield.
