Race 2	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 520	WHATA ROSE was slow to begin and then ran wide over extra ground on the first bend and she finished well back in 2nd last place. Race 4	GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C2 - 305	ANYTHING FITZ shortened stride on the first corner and drifted back and inconvenienced MARC A BOOKIE and they finished in the last two places. ANYTHING FITZ was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with cramping and lacerations. ELITE DESTINY Ex Auckland on 11.01.09. Race 5	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C1/2 - 520	The favourite CATCHING ON collided with KID DELANEY with a circuit to run losing ground. Race 6	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1 - 305	The favourite FIGHT NIGHT was a little slow to begin and was then hindered for a few strides when racing up inside BIGTIME RISK on the first corner and finished in 5th place. GOLLY GEE Ex Waikato on 08.01.09.
Race 7	WANGANUI SECURITY SERVICES - C1 - 520	The favourite LAGOON GROVE was a little slow to begin and then ran very wide over extra ground on the first bend. Race 8	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305	ONLY WAY OUT ran in on the first corner and made firm contact with the rail losing ground. ONLY WAY OUT was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. BIGTIME TITLE and MAJOR CHASE collided on the first corner and MAJOR CHASE fell and suffered a fractured leg and was euthanased. MAJOR CHASE W.Kite Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered a leg fracture and was euthanased.
Race 9	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOGRAPHER - C1 - 305	One of the favourites CAWBOURNE MELODY was one of the slowest away and settled in last place. She was then hindered when racing behind THRILLING TIFF on the first corner and lost more ground and finished in 2nd last place. WINSOME NERO Ex Auckland on 11.01.09.
