Judicial report: Weather: Fine Mr BR Shaw, the trainer of MUM'S REFLECTION, a starter in Race 16 was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 28.8kg which was 1.1kg above her last race start weight on 9 December 2008.
Mrs HG Cairns, the trainer of SISTER DEE, a starter in Race 17, was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 27.9g which was 1.1kg under her last race start weight on 16 December 2008.
An enquiry was opened under Rule 88.1.q against Mr SJ Whall, the handler of PROTEST LINE, a young greyhound entered in a Qualifying Trial, when the dog escaped from his control prior to the trial. Mr Whall elected to plead guilty to the charge and was fined $25.

| Race 1 | ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C1 - 295 | Soon after the jump BY GORRIE DORRIE moved inwards and checked the running of ONE SICK CHICK who went back to the rear. Into the turn REWIND HISTORY moved outwards and forced TAIGA into the path of ANOTHER KERRY who struck the rear of TAIGA and went back on top of CAWBOURNE DOC. Both TAIGA and CAWBOURNE DOC lost all chances to finish at the rear of the field, and were subject to post race veterinary checks which revealed nothing amiss. |
| Race 2 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C0 - 520 | Into the first turn DIARACK attempted to run past BOTANY SHANE and struck the rear of that dog who cannoned out into the path of HOMEBUSH HAZARD and REDBANK RUBY with these dogs forced wide on the track and losing all chances. Into the home straight CAP FANTASTIC who had been vying for the lead throughout appeared to tie up and went back through the field to finish 7th. CAP FANTASTIC was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed pain in the right triceps with a 10 day stand down recommended. CAP FANTASTIC (JT McInerney) pain in right triceps. | Race 3 | WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM SPRINT HEAT 1 - C2q - 295 Heat 1 | From the jump KNOW GO moved inwards and GATLIN ANGEL moved outwards with a resultant check to CARNABY. These two dogs came together several times in the run to the turn, then into the home straight KNOW GO ran outwards and forced GATLIN ANGEL wide on the track where she tailed off to finish last. |
| Race 4 | WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM SPRINT HEAT 2 - C2q - 295 Heat 1 | Into the turn ETOILE NOIR moved outwards and forced WILLY FLIRT into the path of NATASHA'S DUFFER who fell heavily but regained her feet to finish the race a distant last. HAILSTONE HARLY was also checked during the incident and finished back in 7th place. WILLY FLIRT and NATASHA'S DUFFER were subject to post race veterinary checks which showed WILLY FLIRT to have a sprained right wrist with a 14 day stand down recommended whilst there was no injury to NATASHA'S DUFFER. LINCOLN BRAND went up with the lids and lost several lengths, then crossed over into the turn and checked the running of POLAR BLAST and HOMEBUSH LADY with these two dogs finishing well back in the field. |
| Race 9 | YALDHURST TAVERN SPRINT - C0 - 295 | From the jump GROOVE ARMADA crossed over and checked the running of ALIE BALE and EASY FINANCE. As EASY FINANCE went backwards he impeded the running of TEDETTE and EARS CHUCK with both dogs finishing at the rear. |
| Race 10 | CHALLENGE WAIMAK DASH - C1 - 295 | From the jump ANOTHER JEN NY crossed over and tightened NEED A NURSE and DOUGSTAR JAKE with these dogs forced down towards the rail. The inside runner WILLY'S PRIDE was cramped for room and struck the running rail before tailing off to finish a long last. WILLY'S PRIDE was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a cut to the left hind leg with a 14 day stand down recommended. WILLY'S PRIDE (MJ Flipp) sutures to left hind leg. The field tightened into the first turn with OFF THE RAILS losing ground but finishing on in the home straight for 3rd whilst THRILLING RITA who was also tightened went backwards to finish last.. |
| Race 13 | DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C1 - 295 | LIAM TITLE was slow to leave the boxes but ran on strongly for 3rd. From the jump JANDERRA APACHIE drifted back. Into the turn BOLSTAD moved outwards and climbed into the rear of UTTER MADNESS who stumbled but kept her footing. As a result of this incident THRILLING JAZZ and MISS WICKLOW were checked, whilst an improving JANDERRA APACHIE struck THRILLING JAZZ who fell but regained her footing to finish a distant last. Post race veterinary checks on THRILLING JAZZ, UTTER MADNESS and JANDERRA APACHIE revealed no injury to any dog. |
| Race 14 | HAMPDEN TAVERN SPRINT - C1 - 295 | From the jump HANNAH BRAND tightened OHOKA KERRY with KIWI YOUNG and BOO ROO also receiving checks. On the turn NITRO PEGGY moved out and struck SOICHIRO. Then into the home straight HANNAH BRAND came into contact with JACK BELLYBEANS and OHOKA KERRY ran outwards across the front of SOICHIRO who lost momentum to finish back in 5th place. |

Into the first turn WINSOME CYCLONE moved outwards checking the running of COSTA BRAVO who received a further check as SCOTT NO TRACK crossed over from the outisde.
