Judicial report: Weather: Raining Trainer A Cleaver was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when THAT GIRL weighed in at 29.9 kgs which was 1.6 kgs above her last race weight on 7 December 2008.
Trainer NC Rugg was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when SHOW THE MONEY weighed in at 31.1 kgs which was 1.1 kgs above his last race weight on 21 December 2008.
Handler Tazmin Lowen was fined $50.00 after he admitted a breach of Rule 88.1.o in that he failed to remove the collar of TERROR JIM at the boxing of Race 1.

Race 1 WELCOME TO MANUKAU SPRINT - C4 - 318 NUTTY SQUIRREL was slow from the inside making ground for fifth. The pacemaking DEVILS MARBELS ran outwards into the bend coming into contact with FAST STASS who lost ground finishing sixth. Following the race starter Gary Sharp reported that TERROR JIM had raced with its collar still on. This could not be picked up on the replay and had no affect on any other dog so placings were authorised. (See judicial). HAZEM EL MAGIC (NP Green) left deltoid muscle strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 4 January 2009.
Race 2 CAROL'S TABS SPRINT SERIES HEAT 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 EYES A TITLE faltered on the home turn with WAIKIKA PIRATE clipping him from behind soon after. A post race veterinary check of EYES A TITLE revealed a broken hock and the dog was euthanased on humane grounds. SAN SHIN (DL Annette) prolonged gastroenteritis. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 2 January 2009. EYES A TITLE (CJ Derecourt) broken hock. Dog euthanased.
Race 3 CAROL'S TABS SPRINT SERIES HEAT 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 THRILLING AMY was tightened on to the fence by CAWBOURNE FELLA on the bend as CAWBOURNE FELLA ran into the rail. A post race veterinary check of THRILLING AMY revealed no injury. YES MISS was also examined and found to have severe cramp with a seven day stand down recommended. YES MISS (BA Hunt) post race cramp. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 4 January 2009.
Race 4 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS FIRST4 - C5 - 318 ASHBOURNE FALCON ran out slightly at the end of the back straight with CAWBOURNE DORE clipping it from behind. CAWBOURNE DORE then came into contact with MONEY SHOT who lost ground and drifted to the rear.
Race 5 CAROL'S TABS SPRINT SERIES HEAT 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 REZENDE ran inwards in the run to the bend causing tightening in a tightly compacted field to DREAM SEEKER, THRILLING CELIA, THAT GIRL and BANG WALLOP on his inner. Soon after this BANG WALLOP checked outwards off REZENDE forcing THRILLING CELIA and THRILLING JIM on his outer with the latter two dogs losing ground.
Race 6 PROTECTOR SAFETY SPRINT - C3 - 318 TRIAL BAY and ENSIGN were both slow away. TRIAL BAY overcame traffic difficulties to run into third with ENSIGN recovering quickly to win the event. STREET TALL crossed sharply to the rails into the bend checking BIG NIGHT IN who dropped to the rear. DEVIL'S COUNTY and STREET TALL were also inconvenienced in this incident.
Race 7 PELORUS TRUST DISTANCE - C1/2d - 603 All clear.
Race 8 TROPHIES PLUS SPRINT - C2 - 318 THRILLING TASHA was slow from an inside box and settled last. Just after the finish this dog took a heavy tumble with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. THRILLING SMILE (A Cleaver) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 22 January 2009.
Race 9 THE BROWNZY SPORTS BAR STAKES - C1 - 527 SATSUMA was inclined to run inwards in the run to the first bend tightening DENNY JEWEL and BILLY THUNDER for a few strides. MEDIA MOGUL (LJ Laagland) infected lymph gland with antibiotics prescribed. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 29 December 2008.
Race 10 TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT FIRST4 - C5 - 318 TESS TOKAAM and CAWBOURNE CATHY were checked for a stride into the bend when TESS TOKAAM crossed CAWBOURNE CATHY from her outer. TESS TOKAAM and kennelmate LONGFORD ANNIE came together for a stride on the home turn.
