Judicial report: Weather: Fine An enquiry under Rule 88.1.o against Mr SR McInerney following an incident at Addington Raceway on 7 November 2008 was opened. He pleaded not guilty to the charge of misconduct with a defended hearing set down for 1 January 2009.
The Secretary of the Christchurch GRC , Mr T Music, was spoken to regarding BOTANY BAY being engaged in 2 races. He advised that after consulation with GRNZ the dog was withdrawn from its 'B' choice which was the 645 metre event as a club scratching.
Mr LH Anderton, the trainer of TOYA,a starter in Race 9, was spoken to in regard to his obligations under Rule 68.1 and 68.1 in respect of the presentation of the dog and he was officially warned.

| Race 3 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP STAKES - C0 - 520 | LAUREN'S LEGACY stood in the boxes and lost several lengths, never recovering and finishing at the rear. Into the turn JOHNNY DUNNIT struck the rear of RAMA DING DONG with that dog losing ground to finish in 7th place. LAUREN'S LEGACY and RAMA DING DONG were subject to post race veterinary checks, with nothing found amiss with LAUREN'S LEGACY but RAMA DING DONG had a left shoulder muscle tear with a 21 day stand down recommended. Mr D Kingston, the trainer of LAUREN'S LEGACY was advised that any repetition of the dog's starting manners would result in a Satisfactory Trial being ordered. HOMEBUSH EMILY (JT McInerney) diarrhoea and high temperature. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 27 December 2008. | Race 4 | DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C1 - 295 | In the run to the turn TAIGA crossed over to the rail and checked the running of JEALOUS GUY and UTTER MADNESS. On the turn UTTER MADNESS was tightened and went back on top of HE'S SO FINE who lost momentum and finished back in the field. |

| Race 9 | SHIRLEY VETERINARY STAKES - C0 - 520 | In the run to the turn TOYA crossed over and checked the running of BOTANY SHELLEY who went back on top of NO SLEEP. Then on the turn BOTANY SHELLEY and NO SLEEP came together and lost momentum to finish towards the back of the field. LEENY TITLE (LJ Waretini) in season. | Race 10 | ROBBIE'S BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C0 - 295 | LINCOLN BRAND, EVER SO CLEVER and HOMEBUSH LADY were slow to leave the starting boxes. Into the home straight EVER SO CLEVER stopped chasing the lure and ran off the track, failing to finish the race. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury and EVER SO CLEVER was suspended for 28 days under Rule 80.1.b for failing to pursue the lure. EVER SO CLEVER (AH Lee) failing to pursue the lure. | Race 11 | TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C3 - 295 | KATHLEEN BOY was slow to leave the boxes and last into the first turn, but ran on in the home straight for 4th. As CHILE COMMAND went back there were checks to PINBALL WIZARD and PAINT THE STARS. A post race veterinary check on CHILE COMMAND revealed a torn left gracilus with a 28 day stand down recommended. Into the back straight BABA GANOOSH clipped the hind quarters of OHOKA KERRY when vying for the lead, and at the end of the back straight an improving KNOW SPIRIT tightened OHOKA KERRY who came back on BABA GANOOSH. |

| Race 19 | MERRY CHRISTMAS DISTANCE - C0d - 645 | From the jump JACKALICIOUS and KAIAPOI FIRST collided with JACKALICIOUS falling but regaining her footing to finish 6th. Into the back straight KAIAPOI FIRST clipped the rear of ARBUCKLE PARK and fell before regaining his feet and running out the race to finish 7th. Both JACKALICIOUS and KAIAPOI FIRST were subject to post race veterinary checks which revealed a severed left fore artery for JACKALICIOUS with a 21 day stand down recommended, and KAIAPOI FIRST was found with heart arythmia with a 21 day stand down recommended.
