Race 1	CALTEX SERVICE STATION - C0q - 290 Heat 1	The start of this race was 8 minutes late after the lure carriage came free from the wire soon after the initial start. The dogs were captured after running about 50 metres, returned to the start and examined and cleared fit to race by the Vet. The lure problem was rectified and the meeting continued without any further problems. TYPHOON BOBO, WHATA ROSE and MARCO SHARK ran wide on the bend and finished well back.
Race 2	OSBOURNE BUILDING LTD - C1 - 290	DRIVING FORWARD was a little slow to begin and then raced wide on the bend forcing TUI THUNDER over extra ground. DRIVING FORWARD L.D.Bell Rule 82 Suffered a stopper bone injury and stood down for 5 days to and including 26.12.08.
Race 3	CARLS ROOFING SERVICE - C2 - 290	All clear.
Race 4	HOAR & SONS - C0q - 290 Heat 1	JASON BOURNE ran very wide on the first turn losing several lengths and he never recovered and finished in last place. PORT OF SPARTA and BAYLISS BALE collided and lost momentum on the home turn but recovered to finish 1st and 2nd. BAYLISS BALE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a toe injury. BAYLISS BALE J.Woolston Bell Rule 82 Checked and suffered a toe injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 18.01.09.
Race 5	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #4 HEAT 1 - RESq - 545 Heat 1	LUCHINO was the slowest away and then checked off the heels of FOUR WHITE SOX on the first corner, ran wide over extra ground and finished in last place. CHAMSIN CREEK was handy on the home turn but was checked losing several lengths and all chance of a placing.
Race 6	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C4/5 - 290	The favourite ZAC ATTACK began well but never appeared to be comfortable in the running and drifted out to finish in last place. ZAC ATTACK was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a flexor tendon injury. GONE WILD and ZAC ATTACK bumped together at the rear of the field on the home turn and both lost momentum for a couple of strides. ZAC ATTACK M.Lozell Rule 82 Suffered a flexor tendon injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 18.01.09. STARLIGHT JEWEL N.Clark Rule 82 Suffered a tricep injury and stood down for 5 days to and including 26.12.08.
Race 7	EWEN GLASS - C1 - 290	MOST EXCUSED ran out on the bend and checked PHANTOM FOG and WHISPERING HOME and all three lost ground and finished in the last three places.
Race 8	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #4 HEAT 2 - RESq - 545 Heat 1	TIGER INDY WOODS, GOES SCIROCCO and THRILLING NEO bumped together on the first corner and lost ground with THRILLING NEO recovering to finish 3rd but the other two finished towards the rear.
Race 9	HIRE SHOP MASTERTON - C1 - 290	KYLASI began a little awkwardly and then ran out checking THRILLING ELSA and NATURE RULES who lost ground and they stayed back throughout the race. PISTOL LARRY B.Goldsack Rule 64 Suffering from a cut foot and stood down for 10 days to and including 30.12.08.
Race 10	SABAS MOTOR COURT - C4 - 290	LISA SHIRAZ and BIGTIME ASSASSIN were checked soon after the start and they stayed at the rear to finish in the last two places.
