NATASHA'S DUFFER then checked off the heels of BAILEYS DREAM on the first corner and moved in colliding with BIGTIME MATE and dropping back onto ANYTHING FITZ and they both lost ground and all chance of a placing. |

| Race 5 | VITA POWER - C5 - 520 | SHIFTY DOONS and ANOTHER LLOYD were tightened and checked on the first corner with SHIFTY DOONS the most affected but he recovered to finish in 4th place. ANOTHER LLOYD made up ground quickly and was in 2nd place entering the back straight but drifted from there and finished in last place. ANOTHER LLOYD was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 6 | KEENAN CONCRETE WANGANUI CUP FINAL - C5f - 520 | FANCY SHELLY was checked soon after the start and again on the first corner and dropped back to last at that point and stayed well back to the finish. SUPREME BASH checked off the heels of FANCY SHELLY on the first corner and was forced wide on the bend but ran on well for 3rd placing. BILLY RUBIN and SIMPLY BLESSED bumped together entering the back straight and SIMPLY BLESSED lost several lengths and finished last with BILLY RUBIN in 6th place. |
| Race 7 | GROUP TWO DASH FOR CASH FINAL - C5f - 305 | WINSOME WOK EYE was bumped from the inside on the first corner and twisted sideways and this possibly caused the dog to suffer a fractured hock which resulted in WINSOME WOK EYE being humanely euthanased. ALLEGRO VISION was handy in the early part but began to drift on the bend and she eventually finished some distance behind the other runners. ALLEGRO VISION was examined by the Vet, found to have suffered from severe cramp but recovered quickly and no stand down was required. WINSOME WOK EYE D.Schofield Rule 82 Checked and suffered a fractured hock and humanely euthanased. |
| Race 8 | WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C4 - 305 | General tightening in the back straight resulted in SWIFT TOKEN being checked back to last and she never made up the lost ground and finished in 5th place. EVAMORE and ARATAKI led to the first corner but jostled together for several strides and dropped out to finish in the last two places. |
