Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer P Freeman & A Turnwald were fined $50 for a breach of Rule 69.11 in that CAWBOURNE BELLE was 1.3kg under her last race weight on 15/12/08.

| Race 1 | GREYHOUNDS NORTH DISTANCE SERIES - C0d - 650 | THRILLING BRIT drifted wide entering the back straight then moved back towards the rail rounding the home turn. THRILLING BRIT then drifted wide again into the home straight slightly inconveniencing PANDA ANNE. |
| Race 2 | LEAMINGTON DISTANCE - C1/2d - 650 | COOL HEART and KING JACK came together racing into the first bend when racing well back in the field, COOL HEART then rallyed very strongly to finish third. Favourite EXPRESS RHODE led to the home straight but faded in the final 50 metres to finish fourth. At the lure the winner SHEA SHERIE took a serious knock with a post race veterinary check carried out, no abnormalities were found. |
| Race 3 | MATANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 375 | ROLL UP was very slow to begin and never recovered finishing well back in the field. Favourite FIND PEDRO was slow away and then checked by MYREEN shortly after the start and ran home well to win the race. CARIBBEAN EBONY got on to the heels of PAYNE ZONE racing into the first bend with MYREEN receiving a minor check as a result. |
| Race 4 | TUAHWARE STAKES - C1 - 457 | THRILLING SHOT and KINSALE LAD came together shortly after the start with GIRL LEG checked, this in turn inconvenienced CAWBOURNE BELLE. Racing into the first bend GIRL LEG ran out causing a further check to CAWBOURNE BELLE. BIGTIME DANCER (D.L.Annette) Rule 64.5. 28 day stand down up to and including 13/1/09. |
| Race 5 | TAMAHERE DASH - C1 - 375 | General buffetting racing into the first bend saw BLAKE'S ANGEL, SERGEANT SCREAM, CENTRAL CYRUS, FLYBY JOEY, CAWBOURNE FELLA and AWESOME FOOT inconvenienced. BIGTIME TEDDY and BANG WALLOP who finished first and second respectively were both clear of this incident. |
| Race 6 | RAGLAN STAKES - C2 - 457 | As the field approached the first bend BIGTIME GUY attempted to move out causing checks to NERESSA, TEENY TINY and NASSIRAY JEWEL with SIROCCO CAM also inconvenienced. As a result of this incident NASSIRAY JEWEL dropped off and tailed the field by some distance. A post race veterinary check was carried out on NASSIRAY JEWEL which revealed a torn right gracilus muscle with a 40 day stand down imposed. ROUGH 'EM UP (D. Brewer & J.Gilbert) Kennel cough. | Race 8 | T.A.B PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C3/4 - 457 | RUN OFF ME began well but received a slight check from SPRING ADMIRAL racing into the first bend and drifted back through the field inconveniencing PADDY BOND and ARTERIAL BALE. |
| Race 9 | PROTECTOR SAFETY DASH - C3 - 375 | CAWBOURNE ACE was very slow to begin and while attempting to made ground along the rails around the first bend was checked by BLUE SOLDIER with CAWBOURNE ACE almost falling and BLUE SOLDIER losing considerable ground. A post race veterinary check was carried out on CAWBOURNE ACE which revealed no abnormalities. MUMMA DOONS (D. Brewer & J. Gilbert) Kennel cough. Dog presented Wanganui.
