| Race 1 | ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305 | The meeting was put back by one race for the entire programme after a problem with a bearing on the lure became apparent after pre race trials. This resulted in an engineer being summoned to rectify some minor damage and no further problems occurred during the evening. HOMEBUSH EMMA and RAT INDEED jostled together in the race to the first corner and HOMEBUSH EMMA lost three lengths. TALKABOUT POPPY ran in on the home turn and bumped with SEDGEBROOK LASS for a couple of strides. SKIPPER STAR was unable to keep up with the other runners and ran very wide on the bend and finished several lengths last. SKIPPER STAR was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. MAY SAGE was then checked back to last on the first corner and then had trouble clearing THRILLING ACE who was just ahead on the final bend and she finished in 2nd last place. |

FLASHFIRE COAL was also checked on the home turn and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a stopper pad injury. | Race 5 | KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C0 - 520 | The favourite BUNNY'S REWARD missed the start by several lengths losing all chance of a placing but did make up a lot of ground to finish in 5th place. PAC AND GUNS Brewer & Gilbert Rule 64 Suffering from a fibula injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 30.12.08. BOLTS BOLTED Udy & McCracken Rule 64 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.12.08. TINY PRANCER K.Benson Rule 68 Withdrawn after originally being nominated and this was due to a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 05.01.09. |
| Race 6 | WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C2 - 305 | Soon after the start there was tighting to the inside dogs as BRITNEY BEERS came across followed by THRILLING POLAR from the outside box coming across and causing more tightning to the field. BIGTIME RISK was the worst affected in this incident. |
| Race 7 | GIFT BASKETS 4 EVERY 1 - C1 - 520 | GOES SCIROCCO moved across in the race to the first corner and hindered FLOATING AWAY for a few strides. Soon after, KIWISAVER and TIZZY LEE BUCKET bumped together and they settled at the rear of the field but made up some ground in the final stages to finish 4th and 5th. CAWBOURNE WELLSY was handy early but faded out in the back straight and finished several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. | Race 8 | WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 305 | STARLIGHT WOODS and GOOGLE MAGOO led early in the run to the first corner but jostled together for several strides and both eventually fell after also receiving pressure from inside and outside runners. LUCHINO galloped on the back of GOOGLE MAGOO and also lost ground and HOMEBUSH TERRA was unable to avoid the incident and was checked losing several lengths. STARLIGHT WOODS was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a fractured foreleg. GOOGLE MAGOO was uninjured. | Race 9 | PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOGRAPHER - C1 - 305 | JENNIMORE ran wide over extra ground on the bend and this would have affected the dogs chance of a closer placing than 5th.
