Judicial report: Weather: Fine Charges under Rules 88.1.f and 88.1.o against trainer MM GRANT, adjourned on 28 November 2008, were reconvened. He elected to plead guilty to both charges arising from an incident in the Christchurch club carpark following Race 6 on 28 November 2008. On the improper/offensive language charge he was fined $350.00 and on the misconduct charge was fined $150.00.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C5 - 295 CALL ME missed the jump by several lengths but ran on fairly for 6th. In the run to the bend DUWANNA HAND moved outwards and checked the running of GO STRAIT THREW and REMUS. ROCKA HULA (MM Grant) right triceps pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 December 2008. NOT A WHATA (MJ Flipp) right hind biceps pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 December 2008.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP SPRINT - C3 - 295 In the run to the bend GROOVY CARLA crossed over and checked the running of WORLD WARNING, THEMELO and ROCKY POCKETS. As THEMELO went backwards the trailing MUNGO clipped his hind quarters and went back to last.
Race 3 WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM STAKES - C1/2 - 520 Into the first bend BANKSIDE LASS moved outwards and checked the running of VELOCITY LANE with a resulting severe check to FANTASY BAXTER who stumbled and went back to last where she stayed. A post race veterinary check on FANTASY BAXTER revealed no injury. FLYING ASPEN (MM Grant) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 8 December 2008. WHO'S SHIFTY (DT Barnes) club scratching due to being a class 1 dog in a class 2 field when a nominated class 2 dog had preference.
Race 4 SPEIGHT SIX PACK - C5 - 520 Shortly after the jump WINSOME BUCKS crossed over and collided with SCOTEXCITED and the two came together in the run to the turn, with SCOTEXCITED losing ground to finish well back in the field. Into the back straight SMART JOSEPHINE checked off the rear of TURBINE BALE and went wide, losing ground and tailing off at the rear.
Race 5 WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ DISTANCE - C1d - 645 MICK BAXTER led into the final bend but tied up and finished in 7th place. GLEN ABBEY MOON drifted to the rear and never improved during the running. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 6 FAREWELL PAT MCCORD SPRINT - C4 - 295 From the jump LIAM BALE and HOMEBUSH CASTOR came together, with HOMEBUSH CASTOR going back on top of KNOW GOOD with both dogs losing all chance and filling the last two placings.
Race 7 WWW.CONTAINERSDIRECT.CO.NZ STAKES - C3 - 520 Into the back straight CHARLIE STUBBS clipped the rear of the early leader COASTERZAM who lost momentum and was swamped in the run home to finish a close up 6th. CHILE COMMAND (GA Cleeve) tail sprain - bandaged. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 7 December 2008.
Race 8 SCHULTZ PANEL & PAINT STAKES - C3/4 - 520 In the run to the first bend COOL GROOVY moved outwards and impeded the favourite WINSOME BLITZ who lost ground and finished on strongly in the home straight for 3rd. YOUR TURN (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling with a bruised right gracilus. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 21 days up to and including 24 December 2008. ENDURO SKYE (Hart/Taylor) was a late scratching at kennelling with right wrist pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 14 days up to and including 17 December 2008.
Race 9 WWW.CANTERBURYPROPERTY.CO.NZ DASH - C5 - 295 Shortly after the jump WATCH THE JET crossed over and collided with GRANT A FORTUNE, and then was tightened into the bend before finishing on strongly for 2nd in the straight.
Race 10 FLAIR SPRINT - C4 - 295 All clear.
