Judicial report: Weather: Fine with strong winds GA Cleeve, the trainer of CHILE LOPEZ, a starter in Race 1, was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 35.8kg which was 1.1kg above his last race start weight of 34.7kg on 18 November 2008.
A Hart & K Taylor, the trainers of GLEN ABBEY MOON, a starter in Race 7, was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 30.4kg which was 1.1kg above her last race start weight of 29.3kg on 18 November 2008.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C2 - 295 KATHLEEN BOY was slow to leave the boxes but recovered well to run home for second. As the field tightened into the first bend WORLD WARNING moved out, checked LEO'S BOY and pushed LAGOON MONROE into the path of CHILE LOPEZ who dragged her down. Into the home straight ALL TIGER checked out and collided heavily with ANOTHER SAGE who was pushed sideways before balancing to run third.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP SPRINT - C0 - 295 HEARTLINE was slow to jump but recovered quickly to run through and win. Soon after the jump GOLD NOTCH moved out and tightened FOLLOW MY HAZE and MISTRESS ROSE. Into the bend GOLD NOTCH continued to move out taking VERONICA and MISTRESS ROSE wide on the track. A post race veterinary check of GOLD NOTCH showed nothing to be amiss.
Race 3 WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ STAKES - C1 - 520 VALUE PACK went up with the lids and was back throughout. Into the first bend SPLENDID TYCOON eased off the heels of REWIND HISTORY and was clipped from behind by UP TOWN LASS both dogs finished toward the rear of the field.
Race 4 HAMPDEN TAVERN SPRINT - C1 - 295 In the run to the bend NITRO PEGGY eased out and checked the running of KNOW SPORTY who dropped to the rear of the field and stayed back. Following the race MULBERRY RECO was subject to a veterinary check which showed the dog requiring sutures to his left hind quarters with a 10 day stand down recommended. MULBERRY RECO (KJ Cassidy) sutures to left hind quarters for a cut. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 4 December 2008.
Race 5 WWW.CONTAINERSDIRECT.CO.NZ STAKES - C1 - 520 All clear. GROOVY BAND (JE Dunn) was a late scratching at kennelling when found to be in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 22 December 2008.
Race 6 DAVID EMERSON CONSULTANCY DASH - C0 - 295 DIARACK was slow to leave the boxes. LINCOLN BRAND stood up as the boxes opened and lost several lengths before finishing on well for fourth. STUMPY RELTUB (JT McInerney) was a late scratching when found to have a wart by the quick of the front right toe. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 1 December 2008.
Race 7 WILSONS SPORTS BAR & TAB STAKES - C1 - 520 Into the first bend SWISH BALE checked off CHESTNUT and came back on GEMMA'S COUNTRY which fell with a check to the trailing MAXWELL COOL. A post race veterinary check on GEMMA'S COUNTRY revealed no injury.
Race 8 NUTRI-ZING SPRINT - C1 - 295 HANNAH BRAND drifted back soon after the start. Into the home straight HANNAH BRAND and MULBERRY NIPPER collided when back in the field, filling the last two positions. MULBERRY NIPPER was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a right hock sprain with a 10 day stand down recommended. MULBERRY NIPPER (KJ Cassidy) right hock sprain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 4 December 2008.
Race 9 CAROL'S T.A.B STAKES - C0 - 520 Into the first bend KAIAPOI FIRST moved out and caused checks to LILLY SKYE and ARBUCKLE PARK who fell. Into the home straight TOYA, racing in third place, moved out and marred the running of JACK BELLYBEANS and AILIE BALE. A post race veterinary inspection of ARBUCKLE PARK revealed no injury. As TOYA vied for the lead into the straight it marred the running of another two greyhound and a charge under Rule 80.1.a was laid against the greyhound with a 28 day suspension imposed and the dog was required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. TOYA (LH Anderton) marred the running of another greyhound during the race. Rule 80.1.a. 28 days up to and including 22 December 2008 and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 10 CHALLENGE WAIMAK SPRINT - C2 - 295 All clear. THAT VIRUS (MM Grant) retired from racing. Rule 64.5. 28 days up to and including 22 December 2008.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C1 - 295 KNOW TROUBLE drifted to the rear early and made little impression. Into the bend KARAMEA LABRI checked out off HOMEBUSH BURT and went back on BOUNCEN BLITZEM and CHLOE BEAR who suffered checks. On the bend HOMEBUSH ASTRID improved on the outside and tightened HOMEBUSH BURT who moved down and checked BETTY BEEP racing on the fence. BETTY BEEP went back rapidly and finished last.
Race 12 COALGATE TAVERN SPRINT - C0 - 295 Into the bend THRILLING RITA moved off the rail and checked HAWTHORN HAWK who went back on THAT'S SARAH. In drifting back through the field HAWTHORN HAWK clipped the heels of an improving HOMEBUSH LADY and fell causing checks to LAUREN'S LEGACY and HAGLER. A post race veterinary check on HAWTHORN HAWK revealed no injury sustained in the fall.
Race 13 GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING STAKES - C1 - 520 Into the first bend ROBBITY BOB moved across and checked BOTANY ALICE. Soon after CLEEVE HILL checked out off OFF THE RAILS losing ground.
Race 14 HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAHAM BARRON DASH - C1 - 295 CATCH A DIVA ran wide from the jump and as she angled back toward the rail checked HAMBURGER.
Race 15 PICK6 LEG 1 STAKES - C2 - 520 Into the first bend BANKSIDE LASS tightened CHARLIE STUBBS who was held up and changed ground to the outside before running home late to win. SWEET PAPOOSE (JM Jopson) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 21 December 2008. TEDDY NOVA (SR Fagan) left hind nail torn. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 7 December 2008. FROSTY EQUATOR (R Adcock) right fore second toe sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 7 December 2008.
Race 16 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C3 - 295 In the run to the bend KNOW LOVE moved out and checked OLD MATE BOB who went back to last and stayed there. TURBO PRINCE (BC Dann) right groin sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 7 December 2008.
Race 17 ROBBIE'S BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C4 - 520 Into the final bend COASTERZAM on the drift tightened SHREK ROXON who was attemtping to imrpove on the inner. SHREK ROXON dropped back and lost all chance. SATAN'S PLOT (JT McInerney) scratched at meeting of Wanganui GRC on 21 November 2008. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 3 December 2008. SPACE HOPPER (JT McInerney) deceased. REPEAT OFFENDER (MM Grant) partial vision problems with left eye. Rule 64.5. 28 days up to and including 23 December 2008.
Race 18 WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM DASH - C4 - 295 On the turn HOMEBUSH DUNCAN and ROCKA HULA came together, lost momentum and dropped to the rear of the field. HONCHO (JT McInerney) deceased.
Race 19 SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE SPRINT - C4 - 295 In the run to the turn CAWBOURNE HAPPY checked off the rear of HOMEBUSH MATE, both dogs losing ground to fill the last two placings.
Race 20 SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C4 - 520 Into the first bend YOUR TURN checked off FIFI THE GENIUS and lost ground, going back to last and finishing last.
