Judicial report: Weather: Overcast MM GRANT was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when THAT VIRUS, a starter in Race 6, weighed in 1.3kgs under his last race start weight.
The inquiry opened and adjourned at the Christchurch GRC meeting on 13 November 2008 into the scratching of WINSOME LIGHT (DD Schofield) was reconvened. After a review of the times relating to the nominating of the dog for the Waikato GRC meeting held on the same date, and taking into account Rules, 64.2, 64.3 and 63.10, it was determined that Rule 63.10 was available to SCHOFIELD in this instance and was therefore deemed a valid reason for the withdrawal of WINSOME LIGHT without penalty.

Soon after BOTANY ALICE got on the heels of UP TOWN LASS and ran wide. A post race veterinary check on PALEFACE SHADOW which revealed split webbing on the off hind foot requiring sutures with a 28 day stand down recommended.
