Judicial report: Weather: Fine AC Roberts, the trainer of HEARTLINE, a starter in race 2, was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 33.8kg which was 1.1kg over his last race start weight of 32.7g on 6 November 2008.
JT McInerney, the trainer of ANOTHER JENNY, a starter in race 12, was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 25.3kg which was 1.1kg under her last race start weight of 26.4kg on 3 November 2008.
J&D Fahey, the trainers of METRO SCOOP, a starter in race 13, were fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 27.3kg which was 1.3kg over her last race start weight of 27.3kg on 6 November 2008.

| Race 3 | WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ SPRINT - C1 - 295 | BERT BADGER and CARNABY were slow to jump. In the run to the first bend HOMEBUSH EARL and HAILSTONE HARLY bumped three times with HOMEBUSH EARL dropping out to finish last. HOMEBUSH EARL was subject to a post race veterinary inspection which revealed nothing amiss. |
| Race 4 | ADDINGTON EVENTS CENTRE STAKES - C0 - 520 | Into the first bend BREENYS BOY pushed out and collided with DIARACK, both dogs losing ground. Into the home straight these dogs came together for a second time when at the rear of the field. Into the straight MISS JALOUX, when vying for the lead, was hit from behind by ARBUCKLE PARK and lost ground quickly. A post race veterinary examination on MISS JALOUX revealed no injury. |
| Race 5 | SHIRLEY T.A.B SPRINT - C1 - 295 | NEED A NURSE was very slow to leave the boxes, settling last and finishing last. Into the bend KNOW FLIRT and KARAMEA LABRI came together, losing ground. |
| Race 6 | ROBBIE'S BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C1 - 295 | Into the bend ETOILE NOIR moved across and pushed ANOTHER SAGE down onto MOJAVE MICK who lost ground. A stride out of the boxes MOJAVE MICK turned its head and marred the running of FACE OFF. A post race veterinary check revealed nothing asmiss with MOJAVE MICK and a charge under Rule 80.1.a was laid against the greyhound with a 28 day suspension imposed and the dog was required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. MOJAVE MICK (C Mitchell) marred the running of another greyhound during the race. Rule 80.1.a. 28 days up to and including 15 December 2008 and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. |
| Race 7 | KOLORFUL KANVAS DASH - C1 - 295 | Into the bend DA COOLA moved toward the rail and tightened BOTOX BARBIE who inturn checked BOY BUGLER and BONDI BRINDI. Into the home straight HAMBURGER moved out and shouldered BOY BUGLER who became unbalanced and fell. A post race veterinary examination of BOY BUGLER revealed the dog had a right hock sprain with a 14 day stand down recommended. BOY BUGLER (JF Allen) right hock sprain. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 1 December 2008. |
| Race 8 | POWER FARMING LTD STAKES - C2 - 520 | Prior to the start IRON MAIDEN was subject to a veterinary inspection but was passed fit to run. FLYING ASPEN was slow to jump. Into the bend IRON MAIDEN was checked when racing between VELOCITY LANE and WILLY FLIRT. IRON MAIDEN injured a front leg in the incident, fell and took no further part in the race. In the home straight VELOCITY LANE checked off the rear of CURVE BALL and lost momentum. A post race veterinary examination revealed IRON MAIDEN to have a broken right front leg and the dog was humanely euthanased. IRON MAIDEN (A Hart & K Taylor) euthanased. |
| Race 9 | WWW.WILLYWHATASTUD.COM SPRINT - C0 - 295 | Soon after the jump CAWBOURNE DOC moved down to the rail and caused general tightening to the runners on the inside. A few strides later MULBERRY MADAM moved out and checked HAGLER. Into the home straight MULBERRY MADAM and HAGLER came together again when racing at the rear of the field and filled the last two placings. |
| Race 10 | AIR RESCUE TRUST DASH - C1 - 295 | Soon after the jump CLAN SLITHER improved from the outside toward the rail and tightened the inside runners, SMART SHARMILA the worst affected. Into the bend CLAN SLITHER went back on MULBERRY RECO who in turn checked JANDERRA APACHIE. |
| Race 11 | TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C2 - 295 | Into the bend NICCA NOTCH clipped the heels of LAGOON MONROE and went back, hampering CHARTERIS BAY with checks to the trailing BETTY BEATZER and CHARLIE STUBBS. A stride later TURBO TALIA, while attempting to rail through, was tightened by LAGOON MONROE and lost ground. Into the home straight CHARLIE STUBBS checked out off TURBO TALIA. UPBEAT (MJ Flipp) right hind swelling over 4th sesamoid joint. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 1 December 2008. |
| Race 12 | COALGATE TAVERN SPRINT - C1 - 295 | KNOW NEED was slow to jump losing several lengths but ran home strongly for fourth. ONE SICK CHICK (RM McKenzie) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 15 December 2008. |
| Race 13 | DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER STAKES - C1 - 520 | METRO SCOOP and VALUE PACK collided soon after the start and METRO SCOOP was clipped from behind at the winning post with a lap to run. Into the back straight GINA ROSA, VALUE PACK and GUNNA SMOKE came together. Into the back straight GINA ROSA checked out off the heels of HUGO FIRST checking VALUE PACK and GUNNA SMOKE. As WITH A RHYTHM swept to the lead in the straight it marred the running of another greyhound and a charge under Rule 80.1.a was laid against the greyhound with a 28 day suspension imposed and the dog was required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. Into the back straight FIRM OFFER checked off the heels of TIGER BALM and lost ground. Into the home straight FIRM OFFER and QUEEN FALCON came together losing ground when racing at the rear of the field. The starter was spoken to and reminded of his obligations to not permit handlers to move in front of the boxes at the start before the dogs have jumped. |
