| Race 2 | GAP - ADOPT A GREYHOUND - C1 - 375 | CRYSTAL CYRUS and UNO THE HISTORY both began awkwardly and lost ground and all chance of a placing. THRILLING LARK was checked on the bend and went back to the rear and finished in 3rd last place. |
| Race 3 | OROUA DOWNS TANNERY - C1/2 - 457 | JIMMY THUNDER moved out on the bend and made contact with CATCHING ON and they jostled together for several strides, ran very wide on the track losing several lengths and they finished some distance behind the other runners. JIMMY THUNDER was examined by the Vet and found to have minor abrasions to a paw but no stand down was required. | Race 4 | BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES - C1 - 375 | BACK DRAUGHT began a little awkwardly and lost ground. He was making ground on the first corner but then checked off the heels of THRILLING HOLLY and lost more ground and finished in 5th place. |
| Race 5 | MANAWATU SOUND SERVICE SPRINT - C4 - 375 | SAVAGE CONQUEST was checked twice in the race to the first corner, went back to last and stayed well back throughout to finish in 2nd last place. |

JETLINE was then awkwardly placed inside WINSOME DIGNITY approaching the home straight and again lost ground and finished in 6th place. MR CLONTARF was checked on the first corner losing several lengths and he tailed the field home. MR CLONTARF was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a tendon injury.
