Health and Safety comment: A meeting with good racing throughout. An alleged incident in the first floor bar to be investigated.
Judicial report: Weather: Fine CJ WEIR was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when SIR KRETION, a starter in Race 1 weighed in 1.5kgs under his last race start weight.
DD SCHOFIELD was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when BIG PA, a starter in Race 3 weighed in 1.1kgs under his last race start weight.
An enquiry under Rule 88.1.o into the actions of SR McINERNEY following Race 3 was opened and adjourned pending further inquiries.

He was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a torn left hind gracilus with a 21 day stand down recommended. Into the bend CHILLI MITCH ran out tightening SIR KRETION and JILL BAXTER. COUNT LANI (BRD Cole) left hind gracilus tear. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 27 November 2008. |
| Race 2 | 2008 FIRST SOVEREIGN TRUST GALAXY SPRINT HEAT 2 - C5q - 295 Heat 1 | SAINT DANIEL was slow to jump and remained at the back of the field. The authorising of dividends pay was delayed as an enquiry was opened into the start of the race. It was revealed that the lure took 14-15 seconds from the all clear light being activated to the boxes opening. After reviewing the film the dividends were authorised as declared by the judge. It was determined that SAINT DANIEL had jumped awkwardly from the boxes before stumbling and losing ground. The lure driver advised that he had not observed the green light for him to commence driving he lure due to the evening sun. The start proceedure communication between the starter and lure driver is to be reviewed. TWIST MIST was subject to a veterinary examination and found with bruised metacarpals with a 14 day stand down recommended. TWIST MIST (BRD Cole) bruised metacarpals. Into the bend IN COMMAND when in front moved off the rail and cannoned into ANOTHER GALE who was checked. GRANT A FORTUNE changed ground down to the rail and BOTANY ROY was forced wider on the track. Into the first bend TURBINE BALE squeezed SALLY BAXTER. Soon after LOCHINVAR VUITON made contact with SPIKE'S SPECIAL these dogs finishing at the rear of the field. |

Into the back straight PINK RELTUB checked off the heels of SMASH PALACE running very wide on the track and lost all chance. WINSOME MERC (J&D Fahey) right fore scapula pain.
