Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: The problem with the track surface is a maintenance problem with today's weather having no bearing on it. National Curator P Henley is due to inspect the track on Wednesday 12 November 2008. At least 7 dogs sustained injuries involving pads and nails and the abandonment was taken to prevent any further injury to dogs yet to race.

Judicial report: Weather: Fine but cold with the odd snow shower JT McINERNEY was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when ELITE BAXTER, a starter in Race 6 weighed in 1.6kgs over his last race start weight.

Race 1 WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ SPRINT - C0 - 310 Into the bend VERONICA ran outwards checking HEARTLINE and TEE ESS KAY who both lost ground. A trailing MANDY LIFEBOATS was forced over extra ground as a result.
Race 2 BROCKLEBANK DRYCLEANERS STAKES - C2/3 - 545 SOUTHERN MAN, BOTANY JIM, NORTH INGILLTAB and KNOW BEST came together soon after the jump, all losing ground. Into the first bend SOUTHERN MAN and BOTANY JIM again came together forcing KNOW BEST wide.
Race 3 KEYOSK SERVICE BAR STAKES - C2 - 545 CHILE TART tightened the favourite CURVE BALL soon after the jump. CURVE BALL was forced wide around the first bend as TEDDY NOVA moved outwards. Into the back straight FROSTY EQUATOR and FLYING ASPEN came together. Soon after FLYING ASPEN clipped the heels of WINSOME CYCLONE. Approaching the home straight CURVE BALL and an improving CHILE TART came together.
Race 4 GREEN ISLAND BARBER STAKES - C4 - 310 Into the bend GENISTA BRAVE ran out coming in contact with THEMELO and forcing SPACE HOPPER and LAGOON LAD wide. They filled the last four placings. Following this event it was reported that a number of dogs in the previous races had sustained stopper pad and nail injuries apparently at the pull up area. The track was inspected and a decision made to pull the lure up towards the end of the safety fence for the next race.
Race 5 COMMITTEE STAKES - C1 - 545 Into the first bend SWISH BALE hit the heels of WILLY MINA losing ground. JODIE BALE ran wide off the heels of ZORRO MAN around the bend losing all chance. The Stewards along with the veterinary surgeon and senior trainers observed the dogs pull up at the lure at the conclusion of the race, and after examination of the track and examination of those dogs who had competed in the race, a decision was made to abandon the balance of the meeting for reasons of dog welfare.
Race 6 PRESIDENTS SPRINT - C1 - 310 THRILLING FURY (RM McKenzie) torn gracilus. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 3 December 2008.
Race 7 SPEEDPRINT SHOP SPRINT - C1 - 310
Race 8 WOBBLY'S STAKES - C1 - 545 SPLENDID TYCOON (MM Grant) gastro enteritis. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 10 November 2008.
