Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer SC Mann was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when AGENT WHALE weighed in at 35.1 kgs which was 1.7 kgs under its last race weight on 12 October 2008.
Trainer Mrs DL Annette was fined $75.00 for a breach of Rule 68.2 when she presented BIGTIME DANCER late for kennelling.
Handlers D Schofield and K Wilson were both warned for being late to retrieve their respective dogs for Race 6.

Race 1 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) SPRINT - C4 - 318 MANLY MAGIC was checked into the bend losing ground with END ZONE receiving interference as a result dropping to the rear.
Race 2 BROWNZY SPORTS BAR SERIES HEAT 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 ANYTHING FITZ was slow to jump. When attempting to improve he ran into the back of AGENT WHALE checking itself, RUN OFF ME and SIMON who all lost ground and dropped away to the rear. ANYTHING FITZ also hit the running rail soon after with a post race veterinary check revealing an accessory carpal ligament strain with a five day stand down recommended. ANYTHING FITZ (SP Clark) left fore accessory carpal strain. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 8 November 2008.
Race 3 THORNTON AUCTION STAKES - C1 - 527 WINSOME NERO came up with the lids and settled at the rear. THRILLING CATCH was tightened into the first bend and lost ground.
Race 4 BROWNZY SPORTS BAR SERIES HEAT 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 BLUEBELL ROCKET and SUPER DRY were the last to jump. These dogs came together in the run to the bend when attempting to improve. BLUEBELL ROCKET then ran outwards coming into contact with BLACK ELLY on the bend. Meanwhile SUPER DRY got a run along the rails and got up to win impressively. BIGTIME DANCER received a spike wound with sutures required with a fourteen day stand down recommended. BIGTIME DANCER (DL Annette) spike wound requiring sutures. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 17 November 2008.
Race 5 LYNFIELD TAB STAKES - C2 - 527 THRILLING CHASE was racing in tight quarters on the first bend and climbed on the back of POSITIVE GOLD with these runners losing their chances. As a result SATSUMA was unable to avoid the incident and fell crashing into the outside fence. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on THRILLING CHASE and SATSUMA. THRILLING CHASE was found to have no injury but SATSUMA received a cut on his head with a twenty one day stand down recommended. WINSOME SKY was also subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a split webb with a fourteen day stand down recommended. SATSUMA (BDF Craik) cut head after hitting fence in a fall. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 24 November 2008. WINSOME SKY (DD Schofield) split webb. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 17 November 2008.
Race 6 BREVILLE SPRINT - C5 - 318 CLEAR CONQUEST was last to jump. Into the bend SWINGING ZORRO angled outwards pushing NEW CLEAR POWER and CLEAR CONQUEST over extra ground. Just prior to the home turn STATELY CONQUEST appeared to tighten THRILLING GAME up against the rail with both dogs losing ground. A post race veterinary check of THRILLING GAME revealed no injury.
Race 7 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS DASH - C3 - 318 DREAM A WIN was tightened to the rear soon after the jump.
Race 8 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING STAKES - C3/4 - 527 THRILLING WOLF received a check at the end of the back straight when towards the rear and lost a few lengths.
Race 9 BREVILLE SPRINT - C5 - 318 SALLY'S BABE and THRILLING JASPER came together and jostled for a few strides when towards the rear soon after the jump.
Race 10 BROWNZY SPORTS BAR SERIES HEAT 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 WHAT SHIRAZ tightened EYES A TITLE soon after the jump.
