Judicial report: Weather: Fine RW Cairns elected to plead not guilty to a charge under Rule 88.1.f.i which was adjourned from Tuesday 28 October 2008. Evidence was heard from Steward P McCord and RW Cairns, and following submission from his representative JT McInerney and Steward P Harper, the charge was found proven. A fine of $250.00 was imposed by the Adjudicating Steward.
JA McCook elected to plead not guilty to a charge of misconduct under Rule 88.1.o resulting from an incident in the birdcage during a race meeting at Addington Raceway on 12 August 2008. After hearing evidence and submissions from JA McCook, the charge was found proven. A fine of $200.00 imposed by the Adjudicating Steward after taking into account McCook's submission of provocation by another party.
AC Roberts elected to plead not guilty to a charge of misconduct, but pleaded guilty to a charge of improper conduct resulting from an incident in the birdcage during a race meeting at Addington Raceway on 12 August 2008. After hearing evidence and subsmissions by AC Roberts the charge was found proven. A fine of $250.00 was imposed by the Adjudicating Steward.
The hearing adjourned at Southland on 23 October 2008 in respect of charges against JT McInerney and his dog SATAN'S PLOT under Rules 64.2, 64 5 and 88.1.q was reconvened. After reviewing the evidence provided which established that his reserve dogs for the meeting were withdrawn under Rule 63.10 prior to him becoming aware that one of his dogs in a field at the meeting had been injured, the charge was dismissed by the Adjudicating Steward.

Race 1	ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C5 - 295	Into the bend TONY KNOWS checked off the heels of an improving BENZENE and went back on NOT A WHATA who checked and ran wide forcing CADBURY HAND very wide and off the track for two or three strides. A post race veterinary check on CADBURY HAND revealed ANOTHER LAUREL (JT McInerney) retired.
Race 2	CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP STAKES - C4 - 295	FOUL PLAY drifted to the rear and stayed back throughout. Into the bend CALL ME was checked back when racing between KNOW FAITH and MIRKOLA BALE. A stride later MIRKOLA BALE dropped back and caused GENISTA SPIRIT to check and change ground to make a run on the outside. HOMEBUSH CASTOR (JT McInerney). Scratching at ChCh GRC meeting on 28/10/08. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 6 November 2008.
Race 3	SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C2/3 - 520	Soon after the jump BILLY BAXTER was checked when racing between WILL SHE ECHO and BOTANY JIM dropping out to last and beating just one home. Into the first bend BOY GENIUS was tightened losing a prominent position and ultimately dropped out to finish last.
Race 4	WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ SPRINT - C2 - 295	Soon after the jump MR PROVOCATIVE and CHARTERIS BAY came together. Into the bend MR PROVOCATIVE and KNOW BETTER tangled with MR PROVOCATIVE going back on the trailing ROBTITLE who lost all chance. A post race veterinary check on MR PROVOCATIVE revealed
Race 5	SUPER PETS STAKES - C4 - 520	In the run to the first bend WINSOME JUNIOR moved out and collided heavily with GENISTA BRAVE who, while unbalanced, was struck from behind by SMART THOMAS and fell. A post race veterinary examination revealed a right wrist sprain with a 28 day stand down recommended. GENISTA BRAVE (JE Dunn) right wrist sprain. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 26 November 2008.
Race 6	DAVID EMERSON CONSULTANCY DASH - C3 - 295	MOMENT missed the jump badly and tailed the field throughout. HOMEBUSH DARCY (JT McInerney). Left triceps tear. Dog presented. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days up to and including 18 November 2008.
Race 7	2008 MAYORS CUP - C2 - 520	Into the first bend DEAL FOR YOU moved across from an outside draw causing BABA GANOOSH to ease on the inside. As BABA GANOOSH dropped back it was struck from behind by BANKSIDE LASS and dropped out to finish last.
Race 8	KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C5 - 520	All clear.
Race 9	ROBBIE'S BAR & BISTRO DASH - C4 - 295	Into the bend DANCE FOR DANNY improved across from the outside and tightened WHISKY LEE GIRL who dropped to the rear and did not improve. ZIGGY WAR CRY (C Mitchell). Scratching at ChCh GRC meeting on 28/10/08. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 9 November 2008.
Race 10	I PAVE CONCRETE SPRINT - C5 - 295	SAINT DANIEL ran out into the bend checking CHILE WILL HE and SCARLETT EMPRESS who was forced into the path of BOTANY ROY and REMUS. SAINT DANIEL finished 2nd with the others at the rear.
