Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C2 - 305	D.little the Trainer of BIGTIME RISK had not arrived at kennelling time and when contacted stated that he had not nominated for today but had nominated for the meeting on 29.10.08 This was confirmed by the N.Z,G,R,A and when Mr Little arrived, he was given the option of late scratching but elected to start BIGTIME RISK. THRILLING POLAR was checked on the first corner, lost four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 2	GUTHRIE BOWRON, WANGANUI - C3 - 305	ZETA JONES was checked on the first corner losing three lengths and she never recovered finishing in 2nd last place.
Race 3	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C2/3 - 520	CAWBOURNE BELLE was checked on the first turn and dropped back to last and stayed well back throughout to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 4	DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C3 - 305	HOMEBUSH BUBBLES checked slightly on the bend and dropped back causing checks to PAPAMOA LASS and CENTRAL RAIDER. HOMEBUSH BUBBLES recovered to win while the other two finished well back. BIGTIME THUNDER checked off the heels of SHARIMORE on the bend but then made ground out wider to finish in 2nd place.
Race 5	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C4 - 305	LISA SHIRAZ missed the start by several lengths and he tailed the field throughout and finished last. KARISAMORE Gained a start in Race 7.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE - C4/5 - 520	All clear. BEEJAY'S MATE J.T.McInerney Rule 64 Suffering from a medial ligament injury and stood down for 21 days to and including 11.11.08.
Race 7	MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C4f - 305	The hot favourite COUNT LANI was a little slow to begin but was making ground until severely checked on the first corner and he lost all chance and finished in the rear group. TERROR JIM Ex Auckland on 09.10.08.
Race 8	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C5 - 520	The favourite UNO WITCH was tightened soon after the start and settled back. She then ran wide into the first bend but continued a big run around the field to finish well for 3rd place.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURTIY SERVICES - C5 - 305	The favourite BLACK TIE was handy to the first corner but was checked and dropped back causing checks to GO STRAIT THREW and MISSING BEEN and they lost all chance of a placing. BIGTIME DORA was handy on the bend but was checked and went back onto HOMEBUSH DUNCAN and they finished near the rear.
Race 10	SEE YOU @ THE RED - C5 - 305	SWINGING ZORRO moved in racing to the first corner and tightened HOMEBUSH AUSSIE and WILL ZAM who eventually checked back to the rear and they stayed there to the finish.
