Race 1	GRANT IRVINE PHARMACY - C3 - 375	As the field left the boxes BIGTIME ROYALE cut across the face of GRUNDY,RYMOR REASON and CRYSTAL HISTORY causing these dogs to be squeezed and they jostled for some strides until they cleared each other BIGTIME ROYALE got up on the heels of THRILLING ZARA in to the first bend and dropped back to finish in the last two places at the post, a veterinary examination found that she had suffered injuries requiring a 10 days stand down PATTYS ANSWER G & S Hayden-Holmes injury to webbing between digits 2/3 on right hind leg dog presented vet cert supplied Rule 64.12. 10 days stand down to and including 20.10.08. BIGTIME ROYALE D Gough injury to lateral aspect of left carpus/ spike injuries to left hind leg Rule 82.1. 10 days stand down to and including 22.10.08.
Race 2	AP1 METROLOGY PALMERSTON NORTH - C0f - 375	CATCHING ON (fav) was only away fairly from the boxes and in attempting to make ground through the field was held up going across the top bend when looking for clear racing room. CAWBOURNE WHIZ came across fast as the field left the boxes and caused crowding to CAWBOURNE FORCE and LAGOON BALBOA as NOSH IN SOCKS moved out off the rail from the inside box-- .
Race 3	PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C1 - 375	RICONIAK was very slow away from the boxes , losing at least five lengths ,but made a very determined run through out the running to finish in 3rd placing at the post Racing in to the first turn THRILLING LARK came out off the rail on to BLASTING POINT,TUI THUNDER and FLIRTATIOUS WINK resulting in these three dogs all being checked and losing ground where they could not get back in to contention from there on in On the top bend NEW BEGINNING had to check back off the heels of SHE ROCKS for a few strides ----------.
Race 4	WENHAM GRAIN & SEED - C1 - 375	BITTER ZIP and FLY WITH ACTION came together for a few strides soon after leaving the boxes Racing in to the first turn THRILLING CHARM tried to take a gap between BITTA ZIP and UPAHUT FLYER, TIMMY VINE who was in behind these dogs ran on to the back of THRILLING CHARM and pushed this dog up on the back of BITTA ZIP , these dogs all lost a lot of ground at this point and filled the last few placings at the post BITTA ZIP was examined by the veterinary surgeon and was found to have suffered an injury requiring a 7 days stand down----------. BITTA ZIP Freeman & Turnwald injury to right hock Rule 82.1. 7 days stand down to and including 19.10.08.----------.
Race 5	BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES - C2 - 375	At the start ALLEGO VISION came across quickly on to LESHITA,ALEMAIN FATS and THRILLING ACE causing them to be squeezed and they jostled for some distance and ended up in the rear where they struck more trouble as thay raced in to the first bend Racing in to the first turn ALEMAIN FLASH had to check back off the heels of LESHITA and lost ground,ALEMAIN FATS then came out to avoid heels and took LESHITA wide across the top , where she lost more ground at that point----------. BLUE WATCH A Duganzich Right hind hock strain vet cert supplied Rule 64.12. 10 days stand down to and including 20.10.08.
Race 6	DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C1 - 457	Soon after the start FATHER FIGURE came across on to BEARLY MOVIN' bumped him off stride for a few metres Racing in to the first turn there was jostling between EVA TITU,BEARLY MOVIN' and CAWBOURNE OPAL resulting in these two dogs tangling and both went down on their haunches for a stride and they went out wide in recovering their stride and lost their chances from that point As they made their way in to the home straight FOUR WHITE SOX and FATHER FIGURE came together and went off stride , FANCY SPIDER was making a run on in between them had to change ground to the inside as the gap closed and this cost him momentem at that vital stage of the race FOUR WHITE SOX was noticed to be lame coming back to the birdcage and a veterinary examination found a muscle injury requiring a 14 days stand down----------. FOUR WHITE SOX G & S Hayden-Holmes injury to left super pectoral muscle Rule 82.1.14 days stand down to and including 26.10.08.
Race 7	DELTA DRAINAGE & WATER SERVICES - C5 - 375	As the field raced down to the first bend there was tightning between KINGS CONQUEST,TIGGERLONG FURY and SHIFTY DOONS resulting in jostling between these dogs for a few metres On the top bend HUTT PARK LASS when endevouring to make ground had to check back off the heels of AUSTIN and never got going again finishing in last position at the line----------. BIGTIME DORA D Gough injury to left quadriceps muscle Late scratching at kenneling vet cert supplied Rule 68.26. 5 days stand down to and including 17.10.08.
Race 8	WIZARD HOME LOANS - C2/3 - 457	Racing in to the first turn KID DELANEY had to check back off the heels of CAWBOURNE BELLE and as they made their way around the top bend KID DELANEY had to check back again off the heels of the same dog and went back to the rear and finished in last position at the line ANDY D'GANDY after being slow away could not get clear racing room through out the race , being held up a few times but ran on well for 4th placing after getting clear late
Race 9	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C4 - 457	SILVER CITY JAKE was slow away ,then raced up in to a handy position going in to the first turn , then got up on the heels of CHARLI'S ECHO soon after and went back through the field and finished in last position at the post ,but was looking stressed SILVER CITY JAKE was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found Racing in to the first turn there was tightning as JUDDY had to check back sharply off ther heels of MAGIC CITY resulting in JUDDY running out sharply under the neck of NO DRAMA DON and THRILLING HUGO causing these three dogs to all be severly checked and JUDDY was extremly lucky to keep on his feet in this incident In the home straight REWIRED came in as CHARLI'S ECHO came out tightning THRILLING HUGO and NO DRAMA DON ,these four dogs jostled for a couple of strides .
Race 10	PLATINUM PAWS ON FRIDAY - C4/5 - 457	As the field made their way around the top bend LOTTO BALLS (fav) had to check back off the heels of MR SIMPLY and was unable to recover to get back in to contention from there on in only beating one other runner to the line----------.
