Judicial report: Weather: Fine but cool BR SHAW was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when MUM'S REFLECTION weighed in 1.1kgs above her last race start weight.
JT McINERNEY was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when KATHLEEN BOY weighed in 1.4kgs under his last race start weight.
RD BLACKBURN was charged with a breach of Rules 64.2 and 64.5 as a result of the scratching of MUNGO, a starter in Race 4. LH ANDERTON, the trainer's representative and in charge of BLACKBURN'S dogs at the meeting elected to plead not guilty to the charge, and the matter was adjourned to Christchurch on 10 October 2008.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned into an application under Rule 82.5 by trainer RD BLACKBURN in respect of BIBI DAHL, a starter in Race 5.
JT McINERNEY was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 68.8 following a plea of guilty by his representative.

Race 2 WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C0 - 310 BROKEN JAZZ stumbled on leaving the boxes. Into the bend HUGO FIRST ran outwards and checked BLOOMING MABEL and BROKEN JAZZ. Into the home straight BROKEN JAZZ ran wide and was observed to ease failing to pursue the lure. After viewing the race film, owner trainer AJ McCook acknowledged the incident. As a result BROKEN JAZZ was stood down under Rule 80.1.b for a period of 28 days. AMBER DERVISH (AC Roberts)right gluteal pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 3 SPEEDPRINT SHOP STAKES - C0 - 545 All clear. JACK BELLYBEANS (AC Roberts) was a late scratching at Christchurch GRC on 7 October 2008. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 13 October 2008. Race 4 KEYOSK SERVICE BAR SPRINT - C1 - 310 CHILE DAN and CHURCHILL came together soon after the start and continued to do so into the bend when racing at the rear. Race 5 BROCKLEBANK DRY CLEANERS STAKES - C0 - 545 MISS JALOUX was slow from the boxes and was forced wide around the first bend by PATTY'S GIRL. Both finished near the rear. Race 6 SCHOOL HOLIDAYS STAKES - C1 - 545 PARANOVA was tightened by the winner BANKSIDE LASS into the first bend losing ground to drift out to finish last. FANTASY BAXTER (JT McInerney) kennel cough. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 15 October 2008.
Race 7 WOBBLYS SPRINT - C3 - 310 CAWBOURNE BURST was slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend ALECIA RELTUB and WORLD WARNING were checked from general tightening coming back on CAWBOURNE BURST. They lost all chance. Soon after FIVE ACROSS was checked by MOST ROYAL when vying for the lead drifting out to finish 6th. HOMEBUSH MATE (JT McInerney) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 7 October 2008. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 13 October 2008.
Race 8 SOUTHERN SPORTS BAR & GRILL SPRINT - C3 - 310 Into the turn THRILLING BECKY crossed over to the rail and checked the running of MOMENT who dropped out and finished at the rear. NO HALF PACE (JT McInerney) ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial under Rule 72.13 at Christchurch GRC meeting on 7 October 2008.
Race 9 ST KILDA VET STAKES - C1 - 545 MR JOLES and TRUSTEE came together into the first turn with MR BONZALAS receiving a check. BOB BAXTER (JT McInerney) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 7 October 2008. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 16 October 2008 7 October 2008.. Race 10 PLATINUM PAWS SEMI FINALS TOMORROW - C1 - 310 In the run to the turn SILENT HAND moved outwards and checked the running of GIMME A SHOT who lost ground and tailed off to finish at the rear.
Race 11 PET CENTRAL SPRINT - C1 - 310 OLD MATE BOB struck the hindquarters off KAIWERA SARAH into the bend coming back on AGENT BOND, ROBTITLE and FROSTY BLONDE, these three being forced wide. UTTER MADNESS (Hart/Taylor) scratched at Christchurch on 7 October 2008. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 19 October 2008. LES BAXTER (JT McInerney) late scratching at Christchurch on 7 October 2008. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 13 October 2008.
Race 12 GREEN ISLAND BARBER STAKES - C2 - 545 Into the first turn WINSOME FLYER crossed over and checked the running of BE POSITIVE who went back to the rear after vying for the early lead, with BOTANY JIM also checked during the incident.
Race 13 FORBURY STAKES - C4/5 - 545 NORTH INGILLTAB was slow to jump. Into the first bend ROMAN HOME and COSTA BRAVO came together losing ground. At the end of the back straight SOLEMN PROMISE tightened REPEAT OFFENDER and ROMAN HOME. DANCE JUDGE (JM Jopson) infected right fore spike wound. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 12 October 2008. BILLY BAXTER (JT McInerney) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty. MICK BAXTER (JT McInerney) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty.
Race 14 TROTS ON TONIGHT SPRINT - C4 - 310 MIRKOLA BALE and HOMEBUSH BUZZ were checked into the bend losing all chance. Soon after SAMUAL BAXTER climbed into the rear of MICR SISY both losing ground. CALL ME (BC Dann) was a late scratching at kenneling with kennel cough. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 18 October 2008. FOUL PLAY (GA Cleeve) left wrist pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 17 October 2008. SPACE HOPPER (JT McInerney) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty.
Race 15 RACING AGAIN NEXT THURSDAY SPRINT - C2 - 310 CAWBOURNE HAPPY and KNOW LOVE were tightened soon after the start. Around the bend BEAUTIFUL MOMENT moved out and tightened SOICHIRO both coming back on TO CASUAL and SOICHIRO.
