C & W Morris the Trainers of FLY WITH ACTION were fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.4 kilograms overweight.

Race 1 GRANT IRVINE PHARMACY - C3 - 375 CAWBOURNE WOODY was very slow to begin and lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. WONGAWILLISTEVE and RYMOR REASON came together on the first corner and WONGAWILLISTEVE fell and RYMOR REASON appeared to make contact with the rail and lost all chance. They were both examined by the Vet and WONGAWILLISTEVE was stood down for 7 days with a bruised thigh and RYMOR REASON was cleared of injury. WONGAWILLISTEVE B.Cole Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered a bruised thigh and stood down for 7 days to and including 12.10.08.
Race 2 MANAWATU SOUND SERVICE - C1/2 - 375 All clear.
Race 3 MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1/2 - 375 All clear.
Race 4 RADIOWORKS MANAWATU - C3 - 375 GO GROOVY and HEALING CRYSTAL were checked and lost a little ground on the first corner.
Race 5 GEON WELLINGTON - C1/2 - 375 UPAHUT FLYER was awkwardly placed between runners in the run to the first corner and settled at the rear. UPAHUT FLYER then ran very wide over extra ground into the home straight and finished in last place. LUCY'S MINT Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a wrist injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 18.10.08.
Race 6 WENHAM GRAIN & SEED - C4 - 375 SHARIMORE moved in on the first corner and caused a slight check to JOSHIE'S GIRL who lost ground but recovered to finish in 3rd place. ADAMINSKI Ex Wanganui on 03.10.08 FUN AND PROFIT A.Duganzich Rule 64 Suffering from a cut foot and stood down for 7 days to and including 10.10.08.
Race 7 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C5 - 375 CHARLIE CASH was tightened against the rail in the race to the first corner and lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. AUSTIN was handy to the first corner but was checked soon after losing four lengths. He recovered to make up ground for 4th placing.
Race 8 WIZARD HOME LOANS FINAL - C5f - 457 All clear. COOL AUSSIE Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from enteritis and stood down for 5 days to and including 10.10.08.
Race 9 DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C4/5 - 457 All clear. SILVER CITY JAKE Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from enteritis and stood down for 5 days to and including 10.10.08.
Race 10 W&E CAVANAGH LTD - C1 - 457 CAWBOURNE ACE and CAWBOURNE WILKO were checked in the race to the first corner and lost ground but recovered to finish 3rd and 4th. The favourite CAWBOURNE CHICKA was checked and fell on the first corner and OUR SANDMAN was hindered in the incident and also lost any chance of a placing. CAWBOURNE CHICKA was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a gracilus muscle injury. SEDGEBROOK GOLD F.Kite Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 14.10.08. CAWBOURNE CHICKA Freeman & Turnwald Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 15.10.08.
