Race 2	RADIO TRACKSIDE 828AM MANAWATU - C0 - 457	JENNIMORE ran out from the start and bumped CAWBOURNE CROWN who was pushed off line. CAWBOURNE CROWN recovered to run on well and win.
Race 3	HAMIL BUIDERS SPRINT - C1/2 - 375	BIG DAPTO began a little awkwardly and checked UPAHUT FLYER who settled back. On the first corner BIG DAPTO checked off the heels of HEALING CRYSTAL and dropped back causing checks to UPAHUT FLYER and HALSTROM BALE who lost ground. UPAHUT FLYER and HALSTROM BALE bumped together on the home turn and ran wide over extra ground and they finished at the rear. SCRAP METALMAN Freeman & Turnwald Now deceased.
Race 4	BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES - C0 - 375	ALL ABOUT BRIAN ran in from the start and checked CAWBOURNE WILKO, HOMEBUSH TARNZ and TEENY TINY. Soon after UNO I'M QUICK and CAWBOURNE ACE moved in towards the rail and ALL ABOUT BRIAN and TEENY TINY were checked. On the bend TEENY TINY, HOMEBUSH TARNZ and CAWBOURNE WILKO bumped together and lost a little ground.
Race 5	PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C2/3 - 375	SIROCCO RICK, KID DELANEY and JOSHIE'S GIRL were checked on the first corner and lost all chance of a placing. CAWBOURNE KYLIE Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a shoulder muscle injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 05.10.08.
Race 6	COMPANY BRANDING SHOP, LEVIN - C1 - 375	All clear.
Race 7	DELTA DRAINAGE & WATER SUPPLIES - C3/4 - 375	The favourite COUNT LANI was awkwardly placed between runners on the bend and was checked and lost three lengths and the chance of a placing. BIGTIME ROYALE Ex Wanganui on 26.09.08 FLOJO FLYER Ex Wanganui on 26.09.08 KARISAMORE I.Moore Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 08.10.08..
Race 8	DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C4/5 - 375	PREMIERE STAR ran out from the start and caused tightening to runners drawn further out with the favourite BLACK TIE being the most affected and he never recovered and finished in last place. CAWBOURNE KING was slow to begin but made up ground to finish in 4th place.
Race 9	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C1/2 - 457	All clear. HOMEBUSH BOND Ex Wanganui on 24.09.08. FATHER FIGURE B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from bruising to a shoulder and stood down for 5 days to and including 02.10.08. LIFE BECKONS B.Cole Rule 82 Suffered a laceration between toes and stood down for 10 days to and including 08.10.08.
Race 10	WIZARD HOME LOANS - C5 - 457	COOL AUSSIE was handy to the first corner but then began to drift back and received a slight check before the home turn and finished in last place. COOL AUSSIE was reported to have suffered from slight cramp. MR CLONTARF A & J Hall Rule 64 Suffering from a tricep muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 07.10.08.
