Judicial report: Weather: Cloudy J.T.McInerney the Trainer of CHILLI MITCH was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.2 kilograms underweight.
CAWBOURNE MELODY was re examined under the provisions of Rule 82.6 and cleared to resume racing after initially being stood down on the 27.08.08 up to and including 15.09.08.

Race 1 ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C2 - 305 THRILLING BLAKE was very slow to begin losing four lengths and he stayed back throughout and beat one home. BLUE WATCH galloped on the back of LUNAR SANDS on the first corner and both lost several lengths and finished in the rear group.
Race 2 GUTHRIE BOWRON,WANGANUI - C1 - 305 LUCHINO began awkwardly and lost ground but then recovered to finish on for 4th placing. One of the favourites BITTA ZIP was checked starting the bend and again near the home turn and as a result could only finish in 6th place. MADAM LEAH and LAGOON MONROE bumped together and ran wide on the home turn and they finished in the last two places. PISTOL LARRY Ex Wanganui on 03.09.08. GOOGLE MAGOO D.Parata Rule 64 Suffering from thigh and shoulder muscle soreness and stood down for 5 days to and including 08.09.08.
Race 3 WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C2/3 - 520 GROOVY AGAIN and CAPP MANNERING were checked entering the back straight and they lost several lengths and finished at the rear. GROOVY AGAIN suffered a toe injury and was stood down for 21 days The winner LAGOON FIFI collapsed at the lure and was stretchered from the track but then appeared to recover quickly. The video confirmed that LAGOON FIFI had gone under the lure, turned to go back and had been struck on the head. LAGOON FIFI was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days due to suffering from concussion. GROOVY AGAIN Woolston-Bell & Heath Rule 82 Checked and suffered a toe injury and stood down for 21 days to and including 25.09.08. LAGOON FIFI B.Cole Rule 82 Struck by the lure when pulling up and suffered concussion and stood down for 7 days to and including 11.09.08.
Race 4 DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C2/3 - 305 MARK A BOOKIE was slow to begin losing 4 lengths and all chance of a placing. THRILLING AJAY checked off the heels of OLD DANS MATE on the first corner, lost a little ground and stayed back to finish in last place. CRYSTAL SAL moved out in the run to the first corner and jostled RYMOR REASON for several strides.
Race 5 MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C5 - 305 All clear.
Race 6 KEENAN CONCRETE - C4 - 520 The favourite ANOTHER LLOYD was the slowest to begin but then gradually made up ground to finish in 4th place.
Race 7 MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C5 - 305 COLOUR CHAMELEON pulled up very sore after it was observed that she was struck from behind on the home turn and again just after the finish line. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a fractured metatarsal.. COLOUR CHAMELEON B.Cole Rule 82 Checked and suffered metatarsal injuries and stood down for 28 days to and including 02.10.08.
Race 8 WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C4/5 - 520 ROMAN HOME was checked on the first corner and dropped back to last and he stayed well back to the finish.
Race 9 WANGANUI SECURITY SERVICES - C4 - 305 BLUE CHIPS VIRUS was checked from behind by KING'S CONQUEST on the first corner, went back to last and stayed there to the finish.
Race 10 SEE YOU @ THE RED - C4 - 305 THRILLING GYPSY, SILVER CITY and CENTRAL RAIDER bumped together on the home turn and they finished in the last three places.
