Judicial report: Weather: Overcast JL Schierny, the trainer of WHAT JUSTICE, a starter in Race 1, was fined $100 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in at 29.2kg which was 2.0kg above her last race start weight of 27.2kg on 19 August 2008.

Race 1 MAIDEN SPRINT #1 - C0 - 310 From the jump GIMME A SHOT pushed outwards and severely checked the running of HOMEBUSH EMMA who recovered to run on fairly for fifth.
Race 2 MAIDEN SPRINT #2 - C0 - 310 Out of the boxes MULBERRY KING pushed out and checked CARNABY. Into the turn ANOTHER BAXTER crossed over in front of the field and struck CARNABY which went backwards and forced FLYING ASPEN and MULBERRY KING wide on the track with these dogs finishing towards the rear. JACK BELLYBEANS (AC Roberts) left hind nail torn. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 September 2008.
Race 3 MAIDEN STAKES - C0 - 545 On the first turn TROTRO pushed outwards and checked the running of WILLY MINA who went wide and back through the field to finish last. SUPER JAZZ (J&D Fahey) stood down at meeting of Christchurch GRC on 2 September 2008. Right hind sesamoid sprain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 11 September 2008.
Race 4 MAIDEN SPRINT #3 - C0 - 310 WICKED WAYS, GO BOOTS and HOMEBUSH JAZZ were slow to leave the boxes. Into the turn WICKED WAYS ran outwards and took GO BOOTS over extra ground with these dogs finishing towards the rear.
Race 5 WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1 - 310 From the jump HAILSTONE HARLY and LIAM BALE pushed across to the rail and checked the running of JANDERRA APACHIE. Then in the run to the turn HE'S SO FINE clipped the rear of HAILSTONE HARLY and lost ground to finish in sixth place.
Race 6 BRIAN BAGLEY DRIVER LICENSING STAKES - C1 - 545 Into the first turn WOOD PIGEON checked off the rear of BYE BYE HELEN and forced ZORRO MAN and CHILE TART wide with these dogs filling the last four placings.
Race 7 PAWS INN BOARDING KENNEL SPRINT - C1 - 310 BOY BUGLER was slow to leave the boxes, and received a further check when DARK ZEPHYR checked off the rear of VINTAGE TOKEN in the run to the turn.
Race 8 SPEEDPRINT SPRINT - C1/2 - 310 Into the turn CHARLIE STUBBS checked outwards and came into contact with CAWBOURNE HAPPY who went backwards and finished at the tail of the field. As CAWBOURNE HAPPY went back he checked the running of ETOILE NOIR who finished in seventh place.
Race 9 BROCKLEBANK DRY CLEANERS STAKES - C1 - 545 All clear.
Race 10 KEYOSK SERVICE BAR SPRINT - C3 - 310 Favourite THRILLING BECKY missed the jump by two lengths and never recovered to finish back in the field. DANDALOO BLUE (J&D Fahey) sore neck. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 September 2008.
Race 11 FORBURY STAKES - C2 - 545 All clear. ALL TIGER (BC Dann) stood down at meeting of Christchurch GRC on 2 September 2008.Left gracilus tear. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 23 September 2008. HOMEBUSH BUBBLES (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kenneling with lameness in the right front leg. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 10 September 2008.
Race 12 ST KILDA VET SPRINT - C3/4 - 310 In the run to the turn VULCAN EARL clipped the rear of SPACE HOPPER and went back to finish a long last. VULCAN EARL was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed some muscle soreness in the lower back but no stand down was recommended.
Race 13 OGRC MEMBERS STAKES - C4/5 - 545 WINSOME SHOW and LOCHINVAR VUITON were slow to jump and never recovered to fill the last two placings.
Race 14 PET CENTRAL SPRINT - C5 - 310 From the jump GRANT A FORTUNE pushed outwards and checked the running of SCARLET EMPRESS and SAIGON LORD. Then into the turn GRANT A FORTUNE struck the rear of MIRKOLA BALE with both these dogs finishing at the rear.
Race 15 GREEN ISLAND BARBER SPRINT - C5 - 310 Into the straight BOTANY ROY moved outwards and struck HISTORICAL who fell heavily and lost all chances finishing a distant last. HISTORICAL was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss.
