Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305	Racing in to the first turn PRINCESS LYLA had to check back off the heels of SHE ROCKS at that point and lost several lengths Soon after this SKIPPER STAR was checked back severely as HEIST raced past and SKIPPER STAR ran wide in to the home straight losing all chance there after.
Race 2	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0q - 520 Heat 1	At the start CYCLONE TRAVIS began awkwardly from the boxes then had to check off the heels of NOSH IN SOCKS for a couple of strides TALKABOUT BLISS never got in to contention for most of the running and ran a poor last and was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found HOMEBUSH LOYAL was handy in the running until midway down the home straight and seemed to struggle from there on and was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found
Race 3	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C0 - 305	Soon after the start WAIMAK PAT headed over towards thr rail and severely checked the dogs inside him mainly HOMEBUSH SHILO who was squeezed back to the rear and as the field raced in to the first turn HOMEBUSH SHILO was squeezed again and made contact with the running rail and was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found As the field raced on in to the first turn SKIPPER LADY came across and made contact with HOMEBUSH CANDY. SKIPPER LADY became unbalanced for a few strides and raced very wide around the top bend in to the home straight and finished in last position. THRILLING LEO K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.09.08.
Race 4	GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C0q - 520 Heat 1	At the start FLOATING AWAY came across sharply and severely checked TALKABOUT SUZI for a few strides. Soon after that FLOATING AWAY again made contact with TALKABOUT SUZI for a stride as they came down to the first turn. THRILLING CAM K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.09.08. Race 5	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C1/2 - 520	Racing out of the straight the first time THRILLING TIFF came out sharply and collided with WINSOME DELUX who was unbalanced and forced off the track to race wide in to the back straight and never recovered to finish in last position WINSOME DELUX was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found BIGTIME GUY L.Ahern Rule 64 Suffering from a tail injury and stood down for 21 days to and including 22.09.08. Tail to be amputated.
Race 6	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1q - 305 Heat 1	Soon after the start THRILLING CHANCE and JUST LIKE BEE came together for a couple of strides.
Race 7	GEON WELLINGTON - C1 - 520	As the field raced in to the first turn DENNY JEWEL was tightned and dropped back to midfield and finished in 6th placing at the line A veterinary examination found that he had suffered bruising and lacerations to a foreleg with a stand down reccomended. Race 8	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1q - 305 Heat 1	WONGAWILLISTEVE (fav) was slow away Soon after the start there was tightning to the four inside dogs as BIGTIME ACTION came across to get to the rail. YES MISS was the worst affected being squeezed back to the rear As the field raced in to the first turn WONGAWILLIISTEVE (fav) and WALLABY WAY came together for several strides resulting in WALLABY WAY losing ground and could not get back in to contention from there on in. RAMROD REASON Woolston- Bell & Heath Rule 64 Suffering from Kennel cough and stood down for 21 days to and including 22.09.08.
Race 9	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOGRAPHER - C1q - 305 Heat 1	BITTER ZIP (fav) was slow away There was jostling between the outside dogs for several strides soon after the start Racing in to the first turn HOMEBUSH TERRA checked back off the heels of MILVALE BALE as that dog came out at that point HOMEBUSH TERROR never recovered to get back in to contention from there on in PISTOL LARRY B Goldsack shoulder and wrist injuries Rule 82.1. 14 days stand down to and including 16.9.08
Race 10	THE RADIO WORKS - C1 - 305	Soon after the start WHISPERING HOME came across sharply on to GOOGLE MAGOO and THRILLING DUTCH causing these two dogs to be checked back to the rear As the field made their way down to the first turn WHISPERING HOME cut down to the rail and underneath the neck of GOOGLE MAGOO (fav) causing him to be severely checked and was almost bought down, THRILLING DUTCH who was behind these dogs was also severely impeded by running in to the back of GOOGLE MAGOO and lost ground where they were unable to get back in to contention and they filled the last two positions at the post. BIGTIME COOL M.Goodwin Rule 68 A late scratching due to suffering from a laceration to a fore foot and stood down for 7 days to and including 09.09.08.
